Curious Artila aapo
Some questions before I spend my valuables to useless stuff 1. Are crafted gear (except sword and chest armor) the best stuff there is? 2. Can you get purifying elixirs or perfected items someway other than crafting them? Garrulous Glaahk Barzhal
1. It depends on your character build, but in general - yes 2. No I recommend crafting only the artifacts your build needs and using the rest of the demon bile available in the game to craft mental focus charms (if playing as a magic user). Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
1. Pretty much, the answer is yes. There may be a few items you prefer to artifacts and other crafted gear, but they are, in the end, the best. 2. No. There is no other way, except for cheating. Rotghroth Rhapsody Artemis~
And cheating seems to work just fine for most of us...
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
You know, its funny how everyone cheats but no one gets into major trouble, heck, even the mods te us cheat sites, I thin its amusing..
Rotghroth Rhapsody Artemis~
Well, people are going to cheat anyway, so you might as well make the best out of it. Cheating in class ins't good, but when it comes to gaming, "let 'er rip!" It also improves our gaming experience, because we dont get frustrated. stuck in an area? Use exitzone! exitzone not taking you where you wanna go? use clearthisarea! [or something like that, i'm not sure.] are you a dirty, filthy, stealing scumbag? pleaselikeme's for you! and THAT, my freinds, is the Billy Mays way of justifying cheating. Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
It's your game. Play however you want to. Just be aware that cheating can screw things up. And, of course, not cheating is as valid and can be as fun as cheating. Dikiyoba.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
hahaha you guys are so smart now uh, Were would I just so happen to find some of these cheats?
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
pleaselikeme - Makes everyone forgive your crimes. It doesn't affect anything major (Like say, the SHapers will still be mad at you if you kill Alwan) iamweak - Gives you some experience. Good until level 45. iampoor - Gives you some money exitzone - Makes you leave the current zone and takes you into the world map clearthisarea - Makes the area you are currently in green on the world map (for mac users) dbugkill - Kills every enemy in the area. Be careful; this is absolutly not supported by Spiderweb givesussnack - Gives you some cake I think thats it The Great Archon
Rotghroth Rhapsody Artemis~
no, it's giveasnack, not giveussnack. and there's igotarock, which gives you a rock. I have failed to find a use for this cheat.
Chittering Clawbug Potato
At least the cake one has a use. I used it for that one "Cake?" rebel quest in G4.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
This is the official cheat code list for G5. Dikiyoba is fairly certain the igotarock cheat was only in G1. And yes, it was useless. But Dikiyoba liked it.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The last section of Strategy Central has assorted editors as well if those cheats don't meet your needs. —Alorael, who has opined at length upon cheating before. The brief version is simple: games are supposed to be fun. If you have more fun by cheating, do it! If you have more fun by playing the game without cheating, do it! Whatever you enjoy most is exactly the right way to play, and there's really no room for thundering judgments over how people choose to enjoy single-player games. Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
I have tried dbugkill before, and nothing happened at all. And yes, I am using a mac.
Ineffable Wingbolt Spddin Ignis
Does Dbug work for geneforge f5 on a mac? i know it doesnt on windows
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
It's been removed in the latest version for both platforms, because it caused too many problems.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
How do u use the cheats anyway?
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Pressing "Shift+d" opens the cheat window. From there, you can type in a cheat code or SDF (?).
Chittering Clawbug Potato
Yeah, you can put SDF's in there too, but remember that you have to restart the game for them to take effect.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
OK ty guys.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
Wait. So shift+d then type, or shift+d then (?) Which one?
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Shift+D and then type. Dikiyoba.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
OK, thanks. I tried that shift+D then typing rechargeme but it doesnt work... giveasnack doesnt either, y not?
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Dikiyoba doesn't think there's any message about whether a cheat code took effect or not, so it's sometimes hard to tell. Make sure you spelled them correctly. The snack cheat is easier to check than the recharge cheat--if it worked, you'll have an extra cake in your inventory now.
