Heh, poor choice of example because you can't do that one as an item ability. But I concede that changing a stat linked to a spell has a little bit in common with using the item to cast it.

  3. Because items can only have one ability (you'd have no way to use the other ability even if they could have more than one). May I suggest using two items?

Lightning is _death_ before resistance spores and Banish Affliction.
  5. Unless you're a fan of sneaking around. Which you should be, because the loot is GREAT at that point in the game. Plus killing a few of the patchworks one or two at a time is entirely doable after finishing everything else in the demo.

You can get to the Dera Reaches just by killing the guards in Perikalia Orchards, right?

  8. Not even that. You just need to see the escaped Shredbug. Originally Posted By: z29seclabdlg.txt text1 = "As you explore, an escaped creation sees you. From what I see the quest after Control Core B is the first chance you get to swear to Alwan. All Alwan requires for Control Core B is a rep of 103 (adjusted by 50% of leadership) or better and completion of Journey To the Drakons. Can someone playing the Alwan path confirm? You're both saying the same thing (_ask_ to join != swear. It's the "I'm eager to blah blah blah" phase). And yes, you're right.
  11. Read the reactivation instructions backwards.
  12. Having used a Geneforge and lots of canisters years before the game even started is considered heavily shaped.

  15. Never tried to kill a creation that went rogue from my own attack, but ones that go rogue because of too much damage and not enough intelligence definitely do. I got something like 90 XP from my own Clawbug. Further proof they're overpowered.

  17. You can attack *anything* with the attack button. The creation will go rogue (unless it's a melee attack that gets aborted when you run out of AP). Exploit: killing your own rogue creation gives XP.

  20. The Ornks give pretty good exp, too. If you kill too many of them, everybody gets mad at you (I think killing an Ornk is equivalent to stealing an item).
  21. Edit: This post may no longer be deleted. What, did somebody see it or something? In any case, it is made pointless by Dahak's post above.
  22. Define "second half". After Kratoa Stoneworks? There are at least two charms you can get by sneaking (Mental Focus Charm in the Foundry, Guardian Stone in Gorash-Kel) before then. The Clawbug Charm is near Kratoa-Kel, the Gruesome Charm is in Okavano and the Shielding Trinket might be in Chapter 2 as well. You need to kill a servant mind or three to get the Cryoa Claw Charm in Storm Plains.
