Archmagus, I could give that a try. But how can I download the game from the Spiderweb site?
You can download the demo for free. If you don't have any issues running that, send Jeff an email at support@spiderwebsoftware.com explaining your situation, and he will send you a registration key.

What is that even supposed to mean? Modern games, including the last three Spiderweb releases, support widescreen resolutions with no problem whatsoever. Bylandt, I know you said you have the latest drivers installed, but have you tried reinstalling them since you tried to run Avadon?

But drinking vodka has just never made sense to me. If I'm going to drink something, I want it to taste good. Water is included, with or without the diminutive.

40 proof vodka is some pretty weak vodka. It's usually 80 proof (40% alcohol) or 100 proof (50% alcohol).

The Krazy Kwilting Korner does still exist. It's just been invisible to non-mods since the UBB upgrade in 2008.

Actually starting with Lion, Apple has removed Mac from the name altogether. It's officially just OS X now.

Sorry, but this is a big pet peeve of mine.

Mac= An abbreviated form of Macintosh, a computer made by Apple. It is not an acronym, therefore only the first letter is capitalized.

MAC= Media Access Control, an identification system for network interfaces.

I've never heard that one before.

Have you heard that he's Akhenaten? Because I hadn't until a few days ago.
I have, but only because you posted it on Facebook. tongue

BoE's dialog system always annoyed me. It's almost exactly like the one from Morrowind, but you can't see a list of available topics and if you don't know what you're supposed to ask about you just have to click over every single word.
Yeah, Nethergate improved on the system by coloring clickable words blue.

It actually annoys me to the point of playing it on my Windows partition.
The version of BoA on Spiderweb's site is universal and runs in Lion. Also, I stopped using WineBottler for running Windows apps. The fact that it creates a complete copy of the app in the user Library without giving an option not to do this is absolutely ridiculous. Wineskin works much better for making standalone apps using Wine.

I wonder why they don't mention Jim Broadbent.
  11. Looking and talking with the keyboard can only be done when you are standing directly next to the thing or person you want to look at or talk to. You press the L or T key and then the arrow key in the direction of the object or person. Once you have the talk dialog box up, You have to use the mouse to click on words you want to ask about.

  12. It's my understanding that CBoE is Classic Blades of Exile, the original code made compatible with modern architecture, and OBoE is Open Blades of Exile, the enhanced version with new features. I could be wrong about this though.

  13. RELEASE AND ADVERTISE PLATFORM-SPECIFIC, READY-TO-USE, COMPILED VERSIONS OF OBOE FIRST, OR YOUR REQUEST IS DOOMED TO FAILURE.

THESE ARE IN FACT ALREADY AVAILABLE. They could be better advertised, however. We will need Celtic Minstrel to deal with some aspects of this.

Your analysis of Jeff's considerations seems cogent; we'll have to keep this in mind.

Where? The Google Code page appears to have only CBoE.
