  1. We aren't having the same issue. Mine fills the screen just fine. It just doesn't show all available resolutions.
  2. spidweb.com and spiderwebsoftware.com both point to the same server. This sounds like there was a local cache issue, where your browser was showing the cached version of the page rather than the current version.
  3. When I launch Avadon 2 (Steam version) on my 2012 15" Retina MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9, I am presented with only three resolution options: When I launch Avadon 1 or Avernum: Escape from the Pit (also the Steam versions), I am presented with far more options: As the native resolution of the retina screen is 2880x1800. Running a game like Avadon at that resolution on a 15" screen isn't really very useful, but I would definitely like to be able to run it at a higher resolution than 1440x900. Edit: I tested it on another Mac with a 1920x1200 screen, and it gave me all the normal options for that size screen, so this seems to be an issue specifically related to retina screens. Edit #2: Just to be sure this is not an issue with the Steam version, I downloaded the demo from Spiderweb's site and tested it. I get the same three resolution options.
  4. I got a Nethergate demo on a CD included with a copy of PC Gamer sometime in 1999.
  5. They will work in the 32-bit versions of Vista, 7, and 8, but not the 64-bit versions.
  6. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to change this. The only options are a window that takes up almost the whole screen or fullscreen.
  7. At that point, it's no longer windowed mode. I'm confused. Windowed mode does not take up the whole screen by design. If you want it to take up the whole screen, that's what full screen mode is for...
  8. If you're planning on buying skills, those two levels of barter could come in handy.
  9. I'd say it's not very likely. The only reason Avadon has even an Android port is that another company made it for the Humble bundle.
  10. Nethergate's biggest draw is that you get to play both sides of the story. The setting is pretty unique too. How many other games set in ancient Britain have you seen?
  11. To the best of my knowledge, nothing in the original map was moved or removed when N:R was made.
  12. What is dead can never die but rises again, harder and stronger.
  13. If it is 32-bit Vista, the games should work in compatibility mode. If it is 64-bit Vista, the games will not work unless you emulate an earlier version of Windows in a program like VirtualBox. Also, you don't need to worry about registration codes if you install the versions available on Spiderweb's site. All three games are now freeware.
  14. I've uploaded this to my scenario database, and I have also created a review thread. Congratulations on finishing your first scenario!

  16. I had no idea Poland still uses the zloty. For some reason, I thought they had switched to the euro.
  17. After discussing the series in another thread last month, I just finished rereading David Eddings's Elenium/Tamuli.
  18. Right, but unlike the brooches or the blessed athame, it is an actual item in your regular inventory.
  19. I read the Black Company series a couple years ago and quite enjoyed it. I do agree that the first books were the best though.
  20. I can't believe I just Googled "Justin Bieber pony."
  21. I would recommend the Romans first and then the Celts, but either one will be fine.
  22. You should be able to run it if you download and install this.
