  1. I would imagine you can, although I don't really see the appeal.
  2. Your computer is not running at 800x600 in that video. There are two separate settings that need to be made to make the game run fullscreen at 800x600. The very first time you launched the game, it gave you this dialog box: If you select "Always Switch Resolution" or "Switch Resolution This Time", it will change your screen resolution to 800x600 while running the game. If you select "Never Switch Resolution" or "Don't Switch This Time", it will keep your current screen resolution and run the game either in a window in the middle of the screen or letterboxes, depending on your settings. If you select "Always Switch Resolution" or "Never Switch Resolution", you will never see this box again. In order to play the game fullscreen without letterboxing, you need to set it to always switch or switch this time. If you had set it to never switch in the past, you can change that by going into the in-game preferences by clicking the floppy disk button in the lower right and clicking the box labeled "Ask at startup whether to change resolution."
  3. If you run the game at 800x600, you should not have any bars at the top and bottom of your screen unless your graphics drivers are set up to letterbox non-native resolutions. The game has three display options: Run fullscreen at 800x600, run fullscreen in the center of the window at native resolution, or run in a window. I just tested both the Mac and Windows versions on my computer and there is no vertical letterboxing when running the game at 800x600.
  4. What's wrong with the Elder Scrolls expansions?
  5. I just tested Avernum 5, which uses a different engine than N:R, but has the same engine as the older Geneforge games. The overlay does not work, but you can alt-tab out of the game, and Nalyd's guide to play Geneforge in a window will work too.
  6. In case, you didn't find it, it's spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com
  7. N:R can be played in a window though.
  8. One thing you can definitely do is alt-tab out of the game.

    My turn

    Your math doesn't add up.
  10. Yeah, the Kingkiller Chronicles do not have the same plot as Harry Potter unless you define "plot" differently from the rest of the world.

    Welcome back, Infernal.
  12. Also, StarTrek is in the 23rd century, so it's at least 200 years in the future.
  13. All custom titles are bestowed by the moderator staff and are not given on request. I gave Nikki his title, and mine came from Stareye.

    Alcohol

My uncle, a staunch teetotaler and member of the fundamentalist Church of God, always maintained that the wine that Jesus and his disciples drank was a special kind of nonalcoholic wine that we have forgotten how to make.
  15. Here in central Pennsylvania, hot bacon dressing is common on salad.
  16. On this, we agree. Black Powder War is my favorite in the series.
  17. Tongues of Serpents wasn't incredible, but it was better than Empire of Ivory. I feel exactly as you do about Crucible of Gold.
  18. Note: The application itself (Blades of Avernum v1.2.1) has the extension .app on the end which is automatically hidden in the GUI and is itself technically a folder containing more files, like so: Sorry, for the slightly blurry text. I had to resize the images due to my retina display.

    Alcohol

I've never tried sake, but gin is, in my opinion, vile stuff.

    Alcohol

I'm not a big wine fan, but I actually like Manischewitz Concord grape kosher wine because it's sweet and tastes like alcoholic grape juice.
