  1. Do you have the left and right access bracelets?
  2. Wow, Error, those are very nice maps. Thank you for posting them. Edit: I can't get the map of Northern Valorim to load, is it just me?
  3. Luck determines if rogues will drop certain items or not, if I am not mistaken. I only invested four points in luck, and didn't have any problems.
  4. Did you try to kill him? If so he is elsewhere in the tower, and you'll have to fight him (which would make you a rebel, now). I encountered a bug with Khyryk/Agetha, and got the key by killing Agetha in Stonespire.
  5. Ah, you are a loyalist. In that case, go talk to Khyryk and he will tell you to investigate The Maker's Road (Agetha's Mansion), which is all the way to the northeast. Go to Maker's Road and read her notes, and then report back to Khyryk. (Don't free the Shapers before reporting back to Khyryk) Bigger spoilers… Khyryk will tell you to free the Shapers that are imprisoned in Maker's Road, so do so. Agetha will be in Stonespire, and either Khyryk or Agetha will give you the key to Khor's Deeps.
  6. At this point in the game you would closer to one side or the other. Unlike the earlier GF games it's not possible to stay neutral until the last minute. Did you destroy or fix the Creator on Dhonal's? Have you met or Killed Khyryk? Edit: Did Master Hoge attack you in Khors Deeps, or did his serviles or cryoas?
  7. If you just want the one item you could change the first talknode in z2southenddlg.txt (save the original) to: Code: begintalknode 1; state = -1; nextstate = 5; condition = 1; question = "special"; text1 = "The sign says:"; text2 = " Fort Kentia - West"; text3 = " South End - North"; text4 = " Greenwood Academy - South"; code = reward_give(389); break; When you click on the sign by the school's entrance the Ivory Skull will be added to your inventory.
  8. Pack Ornks would be cute, and tagalongs could be carry item, too. Boat creations would be preferable to the enlarged version of the Avernum boat in GF3.
  9. When I saw the screenshots for GF3 with Alwan and Greta I thought that we would be able to make a group like in Exile/Avernum. I don't mind the way Alwan/Greta are trained, or that they are fairly limited in methods of attack, but it would be nice if they could carry things. Even if they were unable to use the items in their inventory it would very useful to have them haul things for me.
  10. I only use item like the Transference Robe when the creation is first formed, as it gives the creation a bit of an advantage when it's stats are very low. I always carry better equipment just incase the creation is killed, and once the creation has gained some skill points I go back to my regular equipment.

I don't dare to sell the gems or beautiful crystals for fear of needing them for some magic forging later on. How many of those forging do you actually do, btw? Items are plentiful in GF3, so sell everything but the ingredients you need. The first time I played I had a huge pile of stuff that I took from island to island, and I had very few coins. After that I sold everything I could find, and ended up with more than enough coins to train in everything I needed. You'll need a lot more coins after Dhonal's Island, so it's worth going back and picking up as many items as you can stand collecting.
  12. As an aside, you can use up to seven canisters and still have a purist ending.
  13. The mines are disarmed by spore boxes, which are along the west side of the area. When you say "disarm" do you mean you shut off the spore boxes, or that you activated the mines with creations; if you meant the latter, you'll have to turn off the spore boxes to clear the area. Camille(sp) will turn off the spore boxes, but sometimes the turrets will kill her or her troops, so I go with them to help with the battles.
  14. Quote: Originally written by Shapliest: Lankan will take the canister if you have it. You have no option to refuse. If you want to keep it, you must talk to him before taking the canister. Since Shirin is loyalist, I had to go back to a save prior to taking the canister. Click the checkbox instead of any of the three options, and as soon as the box disappears press the F key to enter combat mode. While in combat mode the box will not come up again, so run out of his range of sight and don't let him see you again (don't go in the building again). This will allow you to talk to Lankan even if you have the canister without giving it to him or destroying it.
  15. Quote: Originally written by Jaid: as i understand it, there is also an option to simply destroy the canister instead of giving it to him. If Lankan sees you destroy the canister the town will go hostile; it's like helping the Shapers while slapping the rebels in the face. If you don't want to give it to him just hold on to it, and someone will buy it from you later on.
  16. 1. I've honestly never killed them, as they don't really have anything worth stealing. I suppose you might as well try it; they are not major characters, and I don't think anyone knows they are there. 2. There are different methods of getting through the tests. You could lure the Golems over to the essence pool, so you are able to keep recharging you essence as you fight. There's also the option of using creations as distractions (blessing and hasting everyone), or come back when you are very strong and have strong equipment. Edit: This thread might help, too.
  17. You can go back to being a loyalist on Dhonal's after giving the blue canister to Lankan. It seems word travels between islands, but some actions don't. Dhonal's is the big decision; actions on Greenwood and Harmony won't really alter the later islands.
  18. The boat can be found in Gull North Docks, which is east of Khor's Deeps; it will take you back to the Isle of Spears.
  19. Quote: I will be going to rebel camp next and not quite understand the walkthrough here. I heard that you can get both helpers to the next island - but how? Would appreciate if someone could give me tips on that. Alwan will leave you if you give Lanken(sp) in the Rebel Camp the blue canister he is asking for, and I think Greta will leave if you kill Lanken, If you want to get to Dhonal's Island with both Alwan and Greta destroy the spawners, but don't give Lanken the blue canister. Quote: Which would be more beneficial in the next island - pro shaper or pro rebel? And if I have been given pro shaper opinions, how should I remedy that for pro rebel training? Once on Dhonal's Island it is at the point in the game where you'll need to start deciding whether you want to be a Rebel or a Loyalist. Unlike the other GF game, you can't stay neutral until the last minute in GF3. A servile will contact you about fixing something for the Rebels, and will tell you that the Rebels don't care who you aid as long as you get the job done, so what you say will mostly determine who will train you more than what side you are on. Quote: From what I read, the rebel started from the gatherers (they are not serviles, right?) not the poor serviles. The Rebels on Harmony are gatherers, and most on Dhonal's are Serviles; you'll find out the rest.
  20. It does work, but "pleaselikeme" seems to work a bit better. I'm not sure what the difference between them is, but supposedly they do the same (or similar) thing.
  21. There are several places the Rebels will never let you go, like the brood cave in Spire Forrest, for example. The Drayks in the Breeding Caverns will attack you no matter who you are allied with. They are not the most loyal bunch, at least not to a Shaper.
  22. Your creations can steal for you, but they can't open cabinets or take things out of pots. You could always use the cheat "pleaselikeme" or "forgiveme" (without the quotes), so all thievery will be forgiven. In the least the crystals can be sold, so I went back and got all of them.
  23. Since GF1 I've always taken two Drayks with me, and switched to Cryodrayks as soon as they became available; they are powerful, resilient, and have both melee and ranged attacks. My first creations are two Fyoras, and then two Cryoas, but just until I get the first Drayk canister. I have tried other creations, and I always take the tagalongs with me (like the rat in GF2). I always go back to Drayks/Cryodrayks though.
