  1. It's been a while since I last played, but wasn't Gottesch (gee, that's a hell of a name to spell) displaying most of the effects of having used canisters anyway - in particular, the telltale glowing skin?
  2. Why not make the wand do several of the above in a row? Or is that not possible. Probably not.
  3. I think the difference between level one and level two of a spell is exactly the same as a single point of Spellcraft or Magery or the appropriate Priest/Mage Spells. Spray Acid doesn't stack. It replaces.
  4. You can also get the Orb of Thralni and fly around the golems defending the bridge. I did that the first time round, as I never actually found the rune somehow.
  5. But if the Awakened stopped being passive, they would either become that which they hated - they'd have to fight uncaring about casualties like the rebels or dominate others like the loyalists or even both - or else get beaten. In other words, the Awakened only survive if they do not fight.
  6. There's also this drake in the caves under Reptile Island. I didn't want to kill him, but there was no other way to get his treasure.

  8. I believe it falls into the category of "things we're not allowed to talk about here".
  9. Or maybe essence is just really, really, really light. EDIT: I'm not thinking today, am I? Correction: maybe creations are just really, really, really light.
  10. There is an anvil in the Darkstone Mines on Dhonal's, but you have to free the servant mind in the Darkstone Core to acess it. There are other anvils on each of the islands. The one on Gull Island is in Clawbug Infestation, and the one on the Isle of Spears is in Southern Gates.
  11. Quote: Originally written by Slartucker: * Amusingly, the stick is potentially the strongest weapon for someone skilled in melee combat. Thankfully the special abilities and to-hit bonuses of the best swords more than make up for this. I made it through Avernum III with a singleton who fought only with a stick (and spells in some special cases). This suggests I'll have at least a small chance of doing so with A4.

  13. Thread necromancy is acceptable when the topic isn't that old or the necromancer has something interesting to say or ask. Unfortunately, neither of those appear to be the case.
  14. Also, note that Levy isn't the only infinite reseller in the game.
  15. Alorael! To think that you would stoop to using such foul methods as double posting to increase your own post count! ...yeah, yeah, I know. Accidental.
  16. 32767 is a signed 15-bit, meaning it should also go down to -32768. That's where the other bit went.
  17. It is indeed "all or nothing", unless you try using tricks. In Avernum 3 you can leave your mage in one of the rooms you leave characters in, join the Anama and then go back and get him, but I don't know if that works in Exile 3.
  18. Didn't someone come up with a way that suggested Valorim to be approximately the size of Australia? I mean, it's still pretty small as continents go, but it's bigger than California.
  19. So, if green, blue, and red Geneforge crystals are used instead of Avernum ones, will the result be a servile rather than a vahnatai?
  20. I'm not 100% sure if this is the cause, but did you check the "unique NPC" box?
  21. I can't believe that one took me more than about ten seconds to get.
  22. Suggestion: make Kel's email address slightly obfuscated so it's harder for wandering spammerbots to pick up. Replace the @ with an (at) or something. Although it's probably too late by now.
  23. 22. Nobody cares if you clearly and obviously order one of your pets to sneak into a place where you aren't permitted to be. 23. Trees are impassible barriers, and they always grow in groups of four. 24. You can instantly tell the difference between any two objects, even if they look absolutely identical. 25. Some crystals are considered to be more valueable than others based purely on colour.
  24. Until someone writes a walkthrough as has been done for the first two games, it could be useful, but people on these forums tend to have answers. On the other hand, you would be supporting Spiderweb Software, whatever that's worth.
