I know I can make it to both to cover for someone that might be late making it.

    The Labyrinth RP

As much as I want to join the game with a character of my own, I think I will just spectate and play when needed. That seems just as fun. Just give me a date and time and I will be there. Sorry about being a little liberal with your hats Duck, I get a little trigger happy at times.

    The Labyrinth RP

This was a very fun game. I like being pulled in for diffrent players as they come and go. That makes is more exciting I think.

40 minutes till it starts. I can't wait to watch my first DnD game. Good luck everyone.
  5. Don't worry Slarty, we still love you no matter how long you take on these death-matches. Take your time and make the judgement as best you can. I always enjoy seeing who wins and what underling technical details are involved in the judgments.
  6. Why were the Anama so quite when I asked them about joining?
  7. I think the Trickster might be a little too powerful. Redirecting actions is a scary thing for all the other players and to have someone that can do that and still attack is very powerful. If the Trickster can use his ability but cannot attack anyone that would seem more balanced to me.
  8. So everyone know what I did in the game. I contacted Sarachim and refused to trade with him but gave him all the information I had on how Gladwell was trying to recruit me. Then WZ. AS tells me that I have to join Gladwell or die. Sporefrog contacted me and told me that Gladwell was WZ. AS so I sent a PM to *i (he was resurrected so I knew he was Mick) telling him who Gladwell is and that Gladwell wants me dead and that if I live I can help him win. I then attack W-Dueck and Sarachim gave me the Ring of Magery so I could win with everyone else. If WZ. AS had not been all ultimatum about joining Gladwell I might have considered it. After having played as Anama Priest I know that the worst way to make allies is to threaten to kill them. This was a really fun. And props to Mar for doing a steller job as a Mod.
  9. 3.4 BlackWarGreymon has power and lots of it. Pikachu has agility and speed and lots of it. BlackWarGreymon will win if he can get in one or two hits on Pikachu. Pikachu will win if he can keep moving with his agility and teleports while getting in a few electric attacks over a long time. I can see both fighters winning the fight. It is a very balanced fight in my opinion.
  10. Do we get any new playable races?
  11. *Gets on soapbox* I play a game called Final Fantasy XI. A few weeks ago to passe the 2 million player mark. The game mechanics have been broken down by the player base to a mathematical level. On paper, everyone one knows what the ideal setup is for every fight and how everything will work out. Due to this the player base has adopted a method of playing called "Zerging." Zerging is rushing the enemy and killing it with massive damage all at once, overpowering the enemy. This method is so effective that it is the standard for playing and anyone that deviates from Zerging is told why they will fail at a fight and the game in general. What the player base has forgotten is that there is more then one way to play the game. I do not like to use the Zerg method. I like to take on massive fights with little numbers of players in a method that deals damage of a period of time or DoT. People get mad at me for doing something in a way that is different from how they do it and tell me that I am doing it wrong. The fact that I can still win a fight using DoT over Zerging is irrelevant to them. In Avernum we are able to put skill points into traits and abilities for our PC's to handle fights and encounters. Many people here have broken down the game's mechanics to a paper and pencil math formula. Deviate from that formula and they will tell you why you will fail at a fight and in the game. Truth is that there are many traits that all work together in many ways to allow the player to play the game in many ways. There is many ways to build a party that can overcome the challenges in the game. Everyone here has offered ideas on how to build a party for the game in the torment level with the party never dying. That does not mean that what they say is the only way to build a party for such a challenge. You know your play style so build your party to use that to your advantage. It may be different from the standard party that is used but if it works for you then nothing is wrong with it. The goal of a game is to enjoy it, not make it into a chore by doing the same thing over and over. Experiment and enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it. *Gets off soapbox*
  12. Word was that Amiee had used it's ability on me so we had to wait 24 hours before I could go in for the kill. I am still shocked that people did not try to kill me during the game.

The threats at you were just because we were mad that within a matter of hours everyone knew who I was. That forced me to say I was the Alchemist and try to like like I was a noob in the game. I thought that this game would have seen two alliances form. If there was another alliance then I was unaware the whole game about it. As for the Anama plan for the game. My thoughts was to try to get as many members in the first day and the second day as I could. Then with members we would just all kill off one person. Soon I found that letting Sporefrog, Mar, and Sara negotiate was better then killing off everyone at once. Once Sara and Ash joined the Anama I felt much better about having a chance at winning the game. Stareye did a very great job of controlling the game. It seems to me there was a lot of actions of trading items back to back and he seemed to keep on top of it. I just want to extend a thank you to him for all his work to put on such a great game. EDIT: The reason that so many people "backstabbed" each other is that they had joined the Anama. My main push was to try to get people to join as soon as they found out who I was. Spore and I put Mar under a lot of pressure trying to get her to join and when she said no that scared us. If no one had joined the Anama then we would not have had people that needed Spore and I to win and we would have lost.
  16. If you plan on playing all the games at some point I would also recommend starting with A1/E1. If you do not wish to play all the games then play A3/E3 or A2/E2, both are wonderful games that allow you to do many things with lots of exploring.
  17. I have only used bows as a way to get in a free hit. I would shoot the enemy with my bows until they came to me and then melee or as I ran away from them. For enemies that could shoot back I always had a summon act as a meat shield. I agree with Thurly about giving fighters and magic users a primary attack skill in something other then bows and throwing. There are times when a bow is not a good option for a fight.
  18. I'm sending invites to all my friends too. Maybe I can get paid to be a sales man?
  19. I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet but, Welcome to the boards. Leave your sanity at the door and look out for the turtles; both fluffy and flying. Also, there is an edit option for posts that most on these boards use to add information to a their post if they are the last poster in a thread. This avoids double posts.
  20. It is a lovely picture and it is a Dogwood.
  21. Some places will are getting warmer and in other places the weather is changing by not following it's normal patterns. This is climate change. If you go swimming in November and snowboarding in May, just be glad that you still can.
  22. I saw A4 as the introduction to the after affects of the agreement that Avernum and the Empire entered into in A3. Avernum is a better place to hide then in the Empire so that is why the DL are in Avernum. I would say that A4 introduced the next line of the plot and concluded the first trilogies cliff hanger.
  23. Can you charm the npc you need to talk to and talk to him/her?
  24. I slaughtered them like the animals they were. I was also in my "kill everything I can" run.
  25. You could just do gorilla attacks on the towns and slowly pick off all the residence one by one. A dead town can't hate you.
