  1. The Cartographer isn't even that much of a custom title, because more than one people have it. I know at least silver and Rache are Cartographers, but perhaps there's more?
  2. I think they're nice new titles - not that they affect me, apparently. I don't mind, of course. I think it's fitting that something changes with the boards when a new game comes out. It shows this place is alive. More or less.

For others, I lament the fact that I'm still missing many Discworld books. (or something like that) All in good time. I've more or less read all of time at least once, for libraries do help a bit.
  4. Rereading Discworld novels, and some. Pratchett's Nation (which isn't Discworld), then I'd bought Unseen Academicals and after that I just figured 'let's keep going on with these', and grabbed The Truth from my bookcase. Now I've read Going Postal and halfway through Making Money. Next, I think I'll go for Monstrous Regiment and at the same time see if I could find somewhere the older books to buy, as any of my regular bookstores don't carry them in their store selections anymore. I only have some of them.
  5. I reread Facing the Lion just now. It's an autobiography by one Simone Liebster. It's mostly about her childhood as a Witness during the second world war.
  6. Thank you for the condolences.
  7. Didn't anything special for Halloween, of course. Made up make-up and produced some clothes to wear for my little sister though, who insisted she get to go candy-trekking with her friends. We almost didn't, because the majority of the day me and mother were at her parents' place, wondering what needs to be done for a funeral, since grandfather had passed away during the night. So that was a kind of a tiring day. :\

(I've no idea what the fifth is like) As I understand it's the first one to have PC heroes. The biggest complaint about it is the building of towns, which are all very much entirely alike. It gets dull and repetitive after, say, ten times - or fifteen - or after you've done every campaign and single quests you'd be at about fifty... The Eastern Realm expansion helps a bit though. I'd still recommend for anyone to play as long as they can. Aran: out of curiosity, do you play Settlers in German or English?
  9. http://gamma.nic.fi/~ribla17/tyopoyta_3.jpg I haven't really changed the structure of the icons in a couple of years. :\ Background photo is from a trip to lapland some years back. Love the contrast.
  10. Ah, I know many of these, but then I read about 30~40 comics more or less frequently. And by that I of course mean the amount of updating some of them do (or more like don't do.. enough). Hark, a vagrant ^ is damned good, and I would've added it also. As it is here's some links to comics I consider above the ordinary, in no particular order. Girl with slingshots Not just for the stylish drawing style, but also for its fun-ness. Also, everyone's favourite pink puddycat from something positive makes appearances. Bad Machinery What followeds after Scary Go Round. Gunnerkrigg Court I don't know where it's going, but it's making an excellent job of keeping everyone waiting anxiously. The Meek I've followed the artist of this on devArt for a long while and this comic has been in the making for even longer. It's going to be epic (and already has been). And luckily it is in the third chapter already. Sailor Twain or the Mermaid in the Hudson It's namesake. Very well done. Lackadaisy Saving the best for last. Followed this artist for the longest, always been amazed at her talent. Detailed and beautiful style. And a heck of a story to boot, too! (also, hey everyone )
  11. I did post about them when I made them. Although for some reason no one ever put a link to the map for the second game. Not that there's really that much use out of them, because it's just the outer listings. Not really a map, just a labeled screenshot. :\
  12. The zombies are not part of any quest. It's a different place, near the swamp spiders, and a small peninsula, not an island.
  13. They're in various places. There's about 12 or 13 in total. Just hover the pointer over the object, the right ones will have the word trinket in their name. They're the tiny triangular gray ones.
  14. Hmh, he's run away if Dorikas is already dead. I guess that's my fault for not properly scouring the whole of the castle area first. In my defense, you kind of stumble to Dorikas way too easily. Also, I liked Dionicio. He's a fun character.
  15. He appears in the fortress? Where? When? I didn't see him there! :\
  16. The Black Horror is Lark's final quest, after the Hraithe Lord. Which was my problem also. I neglected to clear the Hraithe (well, I just plain forgot about it), then went on to the islands, found the arena and wondered. But no one said anything about Lark in previous topics.
  17. By the way, for future reference, one might want to check Synergy's item and spell list, which is linked in the Strategy Central topic, to which a link is found in this forum's header.
  18. It's within the game itself this time. You have to turn it on first from the main menu, then use the in-game cheat shift-d, editor. You know, you could've asked this at the same you asked about vahnatais (which you misspelled), without making extra topics. This board is somewhat old and prone to hiccuping occasionally. EDIT: Don't we just love getting Internal 500's over here? ^^
  19. Yeah, walk around with a fish in your inv. and be tough.
  20. Luckily, the game comes with its very own item list, as has been the case in the previous games. Named av5itemschars.txt, it resides in /data/scripts folder. Isn't Jeff nice when he programs his games to be helpful like this?
  21. Yes, it is accessible during demo. Just look around carefully in the room.
  22. Did you click the tiny coin picture? Every sellable item has that in its lower left corner.
  23. ... an item. I need an item. That is, a horn. Any suggestions as to where I might find one? EDIT: And after finally giving up and posting this topic, I keep playing and encounter a horn. Typical. Oh well, nevermind.
  24. Hmm.. the only zones that lead to the castle are either the Front Gate or the West Gate. The Front gates probably the harder one to get through, if I remember correctly (lotsa quards). Unless you're allied with Takers, I think. Might want to try a different route. You can get to the West gate through Kantre's Realm, and to Front Gate from the Crossroads. Maybe you'd like to read about those zones in the walkthrough? Or just ask us, of course.
  25. Frist off, this belongs in the GF series forum, not general.. Second, there's Schro's walkthrough you could try using here .
