Fledgling Fyora Thomas Ruschak
What the heck do Radiance & Vampiric Touch DO? Did I miss some documentation somewhere? How can I know if something that has those qualities is any good if no one tells me what it is??!?
Easygoing Eyebeast Goldengirl
Radiance supposedly helps fight undead. Not very useful, don't bother. Vampiric Touch is more useful however, and takes life from your opponent and gives it to you.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Taliesin
Radiance is bonus damage that applies when you're fighting Undead, such as shades. Vampiric Touch raises your chance of draining some life from your target when you use weapons, even wands. As such, it is most useful for warriors/serviles/shocktroopers. Addition: If you already use a life-stealing sword, Vampiric Touch is THE thing to have.

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Vampiric touch will work with even non damaging spells. Radiance doesn't appear to work.
Unflappable Drayk Zummi
I never felt the Vamp. Touch effect..what's the percent of the damage you deal that you drain?
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Pretty small and sporadic (but on the plus side, they'll be a message about you draining some life energy whenever it occurs). Not an effect you can rely on unless you really concentrate on using VT-boosting items. Dikiyoba.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Also, if you attack an undead with vampiric equipment on, I believe you take small amounts of damage instead of being healed.

Now, now..who would be healthy if they get some (un)life essence of an undead guy?

Well-Actually War Trall The Ratt
How do you get that much without changing item stats?
Rotghroth Rhapsody Taliesin
Let's see... Legs of the Tyrant, Vampiric Breastplate, Thirsting Gauntlets, Talisman of Might, and a sword with Ethereal Bindings would end up around 23, if not more.
