Burgeoning Battle Gamma Grimm
I was carrying some as I walked into Lorelei, but the guards kept catching me. Then I noticed that you can use skribane. So I used it to get rid of it, and I noticed my health spell points went up. I took no notice, cause I figured it couldn't be permanent. But it's been a few days (game time)and the effects are still there. Is skribane permanent?
Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
Until it's knocked down. It can be brought down by either taking damage and using spells or by suffering withdrawal from the Skribbane (which will lower your health and spell points). Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
It doesn't raise your maximum health and energy, but it boosts your current values and ignores your normal limits. Those boosted values last until you either use up your reserves or do something that sets your health or energy to the maximum value. —Alorael, who recommends not using skribbane, and not just because of his own addiction. It will wreck your characters unless you're at the very end of the game and won't have time for withdrawal to catch up to you.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
if you have quest to deliver skribbane then there is secret road to gale bit up from gale. i think hint of excact location of that secret road is gotten from some1. Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I don't think you need a secret road. You can either use the Orb of Thralni to fly around guard posts or go around and enter from the north. It's less direct if you're coming from Bigail, and you still have to dodge patrols, but it's not hard. —Alorael, who entered this way by accident and then got busted trying to leave to the west. His excuses that he was planning on burning the confiscated drugs well outside the city limits went unheeded.

Unflappable Drayk Toby-Linn
I seem to remember if you enter from the south (ie, direction of giants cave) then there's a hidden way through some trees and that's another way you can avoid the checkpoints. Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
I always went around through Squiggus and picked up some cash as a courier.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
I just buy a ticket from Ernest, enter the Lorelei portal, and deliver the package.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
I never used the portals - I hated leaving my horses behind. Once I've bought a group in Delis/Delan (I never remember which it was), I keep it 'til the end of the game. Unless I accidentally take them into the Filth Factory. Unflappable Drayk Toby-Linn
I brought mine into the Filth Factory once too. And also the disappearing Tower......which I think was Zkal's tower? Anyways the tower disappeared after I left it. And of course, since you entered on the other side, no horses.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The disappearing tower is the appropriately named Fading Tower, or the Woodsy Tower in E3. It's the home of a haakai (Chaldrath, I think), and it vanishes once he's dead. —Alorael, who loses a horse in the Filth Factory every time he plays A3. You'd think he'd learn, and he has. He just hates horses.
Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
You can get horses from the filth factory back by exploiting a bug. Simply ask the roaches about the filth factory again, and it'll reappear.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
I think Zkal was the lich with the ring of endless magery, but I don't really remember.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Yep, Zkal is that lich on Maddok. —Alorael, who still doesn't think he's relevant, as his tower isn't a way to lose horses. It's not even possible to get horses to the island, as he recalls.
Unflappable Drayk Lazarus.
The crypt on Bigail is another potential horse-trap, although it's your own bloody fault if you do since you leave the same way you came in (Didn't stop it from happening to me.) Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I used the Amulet of Return and forgot where I left my horse. In one game I had 3 horses in various parts of the world. I'd ride into town and there would be a horse from before.
