Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Speaking of Harry Potter, am I the only one who finds Ralph Fiennes's ... vocalizations ... annoying in this ?
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Ooh, Lords of the Realm. What a fitting choice of trailer music. Kind of disorienting when they suddenly switch to a second song briefly, though. (And no, Dikiyoba found them absolutely hilarious.)
Seasoned Roamer yarrmateys
Quote: Alorael, who is more curious about what gave telepathy its wide-ranging sci-fi legitimacy. Or, more particularly, why only telepathy. i'm guessing the whole idea, that an evolved human will possess a superior brain, and with it be able to do more stuff, such as telekinesis, telepathy and such. evolution is kind of scifi-related. Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Upon further examination, I think telepathy probably goes back to the 50's and the Big Three of science fiction. Asimov put telepathy and mind control in the Foundation books and Heinlein experimented with mental powers in quite a few books. —Alorael, who intends to nudge telepathy into fact by carefully prodding the minds of others. After all, if everyone believes it's real, that's as good as being real. Better, even.
