Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Aw, man, I missed out on the Discipline Blade because I let Ximun live? That suuuucks.
Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
Where exactly is Heart-striker? Breeding Tunnels? And does anyone know if I can get the Bow of Decay back by using the editor? I sold it but now I think since bows do minimal damage any way having some long lasting acid damage would be beneficial. You should add the blessed Halbred. It does more damage than anything except the Jade Halbred. There's also not that many in the game. I've only come across one so far.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The Breeding Tunnels are north of the Near Formello Area. I skipped the bless halbred since the slith type weapons tend to do more damage at lower weight.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Actually, the Blessed Halberd has the highest raw damage of any weapon you'll see for a long time, although the Slith Warspear and Molten Halberd are both worth considering over it for their stat bonuses (the Slith Warspear is 1 die lower and the Molten Halberd is 3 dice lower). Incidentally, most of the listed damage ratings for polearms are 1-3 dice less than they are in the actual game. They must have been changed since the beta. Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
I haven't been able to part with the blessed halberd yet. The slith blood spear was close but didn't offer much to my slith pole user. I don't need a bonus to hit or more fire resistance on him. What do you mean by dice?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
In the earlier beta I saw blessed halberd as only 12-48 damage and not the current 15-60. Dice refers to the maximum damage number divided by the minimum damage number to get the die. 60 divided by 15 gives a 4 sided die of damage. Kyshakk Koan Tcheedchee
About the discipline blade. That's it for being mild… – did the same thing.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
If it makes you feel any better, it's incredibly easy for a Nephil or Slith to get as far as Adrenaline Rush even without the blade, and you don't actually need any disciplines beyond Adrenaline Rush. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Well you do get two very useful potions for not killing Ximun so it's not totally wrong to let him live.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Locmaar
Thanks for the list. Allow me to point out that in said list you chose to spell 'Halberd' 'Halbred' which is ancient Norse for being bred in hell.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Really? I'm skeptical. Not an expert on Old Norse, but I typically see Hel, not Hal, as the origin of hell, and I thought 'breed' had a different origin. Care to citate? Tenderfoot Thahd Uncle
Random question: is 'stupider' a real word? If you refer to most online dictionaries they generally say it is but if you use Webster then it's not and I'm inclined to agree. 'More stupid' or 'most stupid' are a go but 'stupider' and 'stupidest' really grate my cheese and make me wanna shout at whoever said it and shake them to and fro until the word is removed from their memory... O_O No offense or anything like that, I'm really just curious. Is it because it's American English (and/or some other English) or is it an example of the English language degrading/evolving or is it all a figment of my imagination? *falls over*

Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
You can get the Jinx Blade in the Eastern Gallery somewhere. And it does 11-33 damage. What's so good about heart-striker any way. The item description just lists the damage and says nothing about why it makes that cool sound and swirling light on impact. The blessed longbow does more damage than any of the bows too, except for Eliavri Bow.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Actually, Heartstriker should definitely be doing more damage than a blessed longbow. The advantage of Hearstriker is that it has a higher multiplier than other bows (and in previous games, a higher multiplier than pretty much everything else). A character with high Bows, Dexterity, and Sharpshooter will do more damage with Heartstriker than with Eliavri's Bow. —Alorael, who wouldn't get too excited about the difference. They're both very powerful weapons. Heartstriker got toned down a bit in exchange for appearing earlier, apparently.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
The toning down is unfortunate. Keeping Heartstriker at 1-5 instead of 1-4 would have made it more viable to have one hardcore archer.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Several of these items can also be purchased or crafted, as well as found. In particular, Jade Halberds are crafted by whatsisname the mage in the tower north of Melanchion's keep. Somebody will also craft Robes of the Magi — I forget who. And I'm pretty sure I got an Emerald Chestguard from a cache somewhere in the Breeding Tunnels. Was this a hallucination?

And I'm pretty sure I got an Emerald Chestguard from a cache somewhere in the Breeding Tunnels. Was this a hallucination? Shafrir does both and Gazerskin Sandals and Quicksilver Bulwark. The Emerald Chestguard is a reward item from Melanchion. The cache was Runed Plate. What have you been taking?

Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
The trouble with giving Heartstriker a die size of more than 4 is that it makes thrown weapons even more useless than they already are.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
That's true. Really the problem is that there are all these skills that boost melee damage and few apply to missile damage. Quick Action is the main culprit. Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Balancing bows with something that is useless isn't productive, now, is it? —Alorael, who calls for rebalancing of bow power, possibly followed by dual-wielding nerf. Ineffable Wingbolt Dahak
It seems that the Frozen Blade is missable. If you complete the Aid Solberg quest Demontamer Kyzyss goes bye-bye. I never explored Eastern Gallery 5 and completely missed it. So, Jinx Blade curses, or like the Frozen Blade's name it does Ice damage? Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Nope, it just curses. The Ghostly Blade is a better version of the same thing anyway.

Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Spoilers Go to the northeast corner of the Formello cave. Look around for a mage. He's opened up a way to get to Formello (and the Impaler) by burrowing underneath it. Alternatively, you can contact some hiding Avernites somewhere east of Fort Draco. Not sure about the location though. Someone should be able to tell you that.
Chittering Clawbug CAJUN
I helped them already,I was to go get the slaves released, bad vibes, they all got killed buy one of the bad dudes, when I reported back only 1 made it back to them. Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Ask them about the mission and the triad. I know they tell you where the tunnel is. If not, just head northeast of Formello til you get there. It'll be eary enough.
