Well-Actually War Trall Acky
After having a discussion with a friend about Geneforge, its was brought up that I always end up at a higher level at the end of each province then he does. So I'm curious; what level are you at the end of each province? Generally, I'm at level 16ish after the Whitespires, level 30ish after the Mera-Tev, level 40ish after the Storm Planes, and generally near level 50 when I'm done explorering the Dera Reaches. Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
The only thing I remember was that I was 15 at the end of the demo area (whitespires).
Ineffable Wingbolt Spddin Ignis
my numbers are pretty much the same as yours ackrovan.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It depends upon whether you use Mehken since he drops you a level in the demo and then it's how much you do in each area before heading to the next. Otherwise it sounds about right.

Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
I just started a new game, so far I am a solo servile, and was barely able to get to 17 at the end of the whitespires. I now fully apprectiate daze and mental magic, since I didn't use it to much before, and I am glad daze is so effective.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Since I just finished a game: My shock trooper was at level 20 when she entered North Mera Road, level 33 when she entered the Stoneworks, level 45 when she entered Perikalia Orchards, and managed to hit level 51 just before entering Inner Gazaki-Uss. Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
wow i feel underleveled...i've beaten the main portion of the game (right before the assault on gazaki-uss) and i'm working on the expert area right now...and i'm only level 47. now i can't find any more areas that give exp, all of them seem to be too low... only part i can think of that might give me some more would be those turrets in the lethia pass...anyone got any ways to maximize xp?
Kyshakk Koan Velzan
The turret in lethia pass can be destroyed easily using drakons. Also You could always go on a destructive rampage destroying absoloutely everything there is to destroy.

Tenderfoot Thahd Small Cryoa
Disposable creations don't help. They still steal your exp before they are absorbed. I'm generally at lvl 15 when I get to Mera-tev.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Dikiyoba was definitely attempting to maximize experience in the first few sections of the game. (After that, Dikiyoba was getting bored, so Dikiyoba didn't do that as much.)
Garrulous Glaahk Barzhal
In the demo area: You can clear the pacification fields a second time. In the east foundry - fight the enemies in both mine traps and the traps sprung by not disarming the crystal spires (you get lots more experience and some items). In the foundry core - tame the turrets, then kill them. Do both options for all three tests in the testing area and be sure the kill the roamers that are part of the stealth test. If you do the above and follow other experience optimizing practices, you should be about level 19 when you leave the demo area.
Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
starting a new servile... i've done all of that...and yet i emerged into mera at like level 15 now i just got out of murkwood with the shaper assassin dead...and i'm still only level 20...but the only areas i've cleared in mera are the roamer woods (not the nesting roamers yet though) and north mera road completely i've made NO creations absolutely, and i abandoned mehken for the +1 to stats boost...anyone know what i'm doing wrong? hard difficulty btw
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You can pick up some experience unlocking doors and disarming traps with enough mechanics. Leadership will also get you extra options where you can gain experience before killing them anyway. Mostly it's from doing quests.
Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
any specific order i should do the quests in to make sure i benefit the most from them?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Usually the easiest ones are nearby, but you will find that some like the Intelligent Ornk quest give no experience because by the time you can do it you are too high level. Tenderfoot Thahd ALaurie
Wow, I feel underleveled. I have found both ends of the shadowroad in Mera and I am only 17.
Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
If you wipe out a major town like Mera and Haria-kel BUT you leave the Council member like Astoria, can you still finish the game for the shapers? I mean technically, you didn't kill the Shaper Council member so... I'm thinking since guards would still give exp
Kyshakk Koan Velzan
That depends. CAN you take out mera?
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Not when you first enter it, but the rebels can. All thats defending it is a single Agent, a few guards, and some War Tralls and Kyshakks.
Kyshakk Koan Velzan
And what happens if the people in haria kel come out to play? lol including the counciler. and the shaper.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Err.....they won't.
Kyshakk Koan Velzan
Theoretically Of course. Im talkin bout the rebels attackin
Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
I'm sure I could take them on...I've wiped out nodye pass for exp already, the only stupid thing about there is that each time you enter the area, the guards will respawn, and the respawns won't give any exp...
