  1. ben> Wound and Divine Thud hasten the monsters to their inevitable meeting with God. Seriously, the only spells you absolutely need in BoE are Unlock and Move Mountains. Without the rest, things can get pretty frigging hard, but without those two, a lot of scenarios are outright impossible. Oh, and I'll side with Creator's recommendation of Areni, there. I'd recommend NTH, but its system of invoking elemental spirits trapped in runes is probably closer to actual 'witchcraft' than the game magic of Exile. --- Personally, if you're tied to sort of stuff, you should play Blades of Avernum instead - I can see an all-fighter party being much less frustrating there.
  2. You could take screenshots of all your outdoor sections in the editor and copy-and-paste them from the screenshots into one large map...
  3. Well, if he doesn't have the registered version...
  4. I am currently working on a collaborative effort.
  5. D'oh. There are very noticable terrain differences between towns 0 and 4, though, if you check in BoE. No matter. I think I can demolish a building, so I don't have to choke you over it.
  6. I'd assume so. It is part of the editor, after all.
  7. Everyone knows that the porter from BoE to BoA is pretty bad, because of all the work you'll have to do afterwards. However, I found two errors which are not system quirks, but rather bonafide errors in the porter. 1) SDF checks that include "if less than (a non-negative-one number), go to -1" are not ported correctly. This is a very valid node in BoE, and it corresponds to "if less than (number), break" in BoA -- and it should be ported that way, rather than completely ignoring that part of the check. 2) Two towns with the same name (and same size?) cause the porter to flip out and create two copies of the first town instead, overwriting the second. THIS is a rather glaring error, and one which is causing a darn good bit of extra work.
  8. Kelandon - My first 4 ratings were copied verbatim out of the BoE scenario editor.
  9. I'm going with... Low - Level 1-8 Medium - Level 9-18 High - Level 19-30 Very High - Level 31-50 Legendary - Level 51-75 Godlike - Level 76+ ...with level being the average of the minimum and maximum recommendations.
  10. That, uh, drops their items on the ground, which is typically a bad thing. Plus, it'd seem real tacky.
  11. *standard grumbling about prefabricated parties*
  12. jaded i - Part of the problem was that Erika's Legacy was frustrating and not all that great.
  13. Well, Babysitting is actually 4 towns. But still, your point stands.

I posted it because it verifiably worked for me, Kel.
  15. Well, Amber is in almost every meaningful fight.
  16. All of my parties start with 6 HP on every character.
  17. Well, most NPCs fight in limited circumstances. Quaestio is, like, the only NPC to ever fight in every little stupid battle.
  18. Quote: Originally written by Keep: I just hope that the 'suicide' ending is a story thing, not a litteral one. I can think of a few people that would be annoyed if the reward for beating the scenario is the loss of their party. Well, NTH had you as a premade party, so it wouldn't matter. But you didn't lose your party, anyway.
  19. Yes. NTH, for Blades of Exile, had a suicide ending which gave you a scenario completion - although it wasn't the "best" ending, which was actually worse... but meh.
  20. Like, no line breaks? If you open them up in Wordpad, you'll see them fine.
  21. Well, there were HLPMs before Drakey made his...
  22. Again, unsupported. This means that Spidweb may not host your scenario if you do this - although I'm not sure on their policy on it for BoA, they frowned on things like scenarios which wanted you to change your PC graphics for BoE.
