  1. Run Blades of Exile, select custom scenario, and play?
  2. Some parties that I recall... Latest: Ninja 1, Ninja 2, Ninja 3, Ninja 4, Ninja 5, Ninja 6 Older: Varius, Trannon, Lorelei, Imban, Ablis, Rekwan All of my party builds have the party members being nearly identical, so no real explanations of roles are needed. Everyone in any of my parties ever is a mage/priest that starts off with 6 HP (but massive strength, so massive HP gain on levelup) and eventually develops into a fighter/mage/priest that can kill eeeeeeeverything.
  3. Since I play with a group of 6 mage/priests, I avoid anything that gives more than 1 encumbrance like the plague and usually only use 0-encumbrance stuff unless the item is so good that it's worth taking my only encumbrance "slot".
  4. I dunno, I wouldn't consider that a combat mode exploit. It's more of a "my opponent sucks" trick, and those are always fine.

Perhaps it might have been that at one point, but Thuryl meant what Thuryl said.
  6. Messing with candles is also a bad idea. One of the Artifacts Hall versions let you turn Candles into Gimeit Ambieres.
  7. Altering certain default items in BoA has horrible effects, but you'd have to ask TM or someone who's actually experimented enough to find out which ones.
  8. Well, while most of Canopy's spells are just over-animated attack spells of doom, I wouldn't say that they're useless.
  9. I don't think anyone here suggested that healing potions were terribly useful, either. Sure, I could drink a Healing Elixir, but I could also just cast Healing to do better than that for like 2 SP.
  10. As best as I understand it, you can put the sound into the .cmg file, but this will only work on a Macintosh. The equivalent method for the PC would involve tampering with the Blades of Avernum .exe file itself.
  11. Ezrah, do you have to say that in every thread you post in? >_> Quote: (...) the more human like something appears, the less negative the reaction to it will be [except when something is perfectly human, then it illicits a sharply negative reaction, because it starts to unnerve people.] Close, but not precisely accurate. The reaction to something which is perfectly human is positive. The sharp drop is before that point, when something looks quite human but is missing some of the minor features of a real person. (For a clear example of this, look at how ugly Poser models seem to be.)
  12. talk the talk plz like i said 2 u like flowin n nice
  13. This won't work too well. There's SOME check that's performed on VoDT to check whether or not it's been modified. If / once you change it too much, I think you might find yourself caught out.

  15. Hm. Well, your longsword, shortsword, and dagger shouldn't be two-handed. Also, your shortsword and dagger don't have any it_weight set. Your other weights are odd, too, with your spear weighing 2.5 pounds, your longsword weighing 5.0, and your greatsword weighing 10.0. "Normal" spears weigh 10.0 (slith spears are 15.0), "normal" longswords weigh 12.0, and "normal" greatswords weigh 20.0. (I suppose that any reasonable weight would work, though.)
  16. Never make Invulnerability Potions with potionmaking. Make Protection Brews instead.
  17. Voted San-Racku, because I want him to win. The Master, on the other hand, is described as being as strong (or stronger?) than Erika, who is winning against Rentar in their duel at the end of E3. Thus, the Master wins there.
  18. Wasn't the Master also trapped in his own mind or something? That would make him especially vulnerable to San-Racku, wouldn't you say?
  19. Yeah, but San-Racku's a gigantic demon that can take on 50 dragons.
  20. Well, the first guess towards solving your problem, TM, is for you to kill yourself. If this fails to solve your problem, report back here and tell me what happened and I'll see if I can figure it out.
  21. Hmm, my picks... Katothen is described as having infinite, godlike power, but doesn't really use much of it in the Echoes series. Sovereign is thought to have infinite, godlike power, but doesn't really use much of it in the Arc. For coolness, though, Sovereign wins. San-Racku wins. I mean, dude. He just eats whatever that other thing is and wins. Zuwhiel was a real huge wuss - a non-magic-immune boss, then a boss that gets killed off before you rematch him. The Master wins, despite my not really knowing about him. Rentar-Ihrno wins. I mean, Kassand's a Lich. Rentar's a Vahnatai Lord. Rentar just does the winning and Kassand just does the losing.
  22. Is this an abominable topic, or is it a topic for building abominable parties?
  23. You are a bad person and should remove those from your signature.
