  1. Quote: reiterate verb say something again or a number of times, typically for emphasis or clarity Do not mess with the Oxford English Dictionary, Nic.
  2. You'd virtually have to go through as a druid for Celts. I can see SP being a problem throughout the game. I might try it, though, once I finish MC.
  3. Lots of people talk about this. So far as I know, nobody has done it.
  4. His problem wasn't with summoning it. His problem was with making it fight. Are you sure the monster you were summoning it against was hostile? If it was, well, summoned monsters just act a little stupidly sometimes.
  5. Those shades are famously tough. Everyone gets stuck on them. Come back when you can make Drayks or something equally impressive.
  6. The whaleskin tights might be a red herring -- I haven't found a pair anywhere. I've done some testing, though, and it seems as if any whale-related item will satisfy his first quest. Dallerdin probably already had Ellhrah's whalebone corset. If you didn't join the Takers and complete the mission to steal it, you could try buying some ambergris instead. I forget where it's sold, though.
  7. Giant Strength definitely affects hit rate and damage in my BoE; it's even shown on the character status screen (at least if the item is identified). Not sure about Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence, since it's harder to test the effects of those.
  8. The Akhronath with the crystal soul in it is west of Fort Remote, in the far southwest of Exile.
  9. Wrong item, Smirf. You're thinking of the Bunker weapon.
  10. I'd advise starting a new thread when you release the final version. It'll attract more attention, which it richly deserves.
  11. They only appear some of the time (about a 25% chance each time you enter the area). Try leaving and re-entering the area. Of course, it's also possible you killed them already and didn't notice, in which case you're going to have to start looking around for where the stone was dropped.
  12. Sounds like it'd take a lot of work, and a lot of towns, to pull this off in a worthwhile way.
  13. I don't think so; just start out in Geneforge without using the canister, then get to Exile 3 and you can go back by retracing your steps (I'm assuming you know the way to convince Anaximander to open the side exit to Fort Emergence; it's unpleasant and degrading, I know, but as far as I know it's the only way back). That's a lot of work, of course; does anyone know if there's a trick to get from Geneforge straight to Exile 3 without going through Geneforge 2 and the Exile series? I tried to use the broken ship, but even after I repaired it, it sank and I was eaten by piranhas.
  14. Of course none of it's "real". It's all a game, now isn't it?
  15. Oh, Smirf, I didn't want actual player-controlled joinable party members -- that would be nice but definitely isn't going to happen. I just want creature scripts to not be broken for NPCs that join the party.
  16. You're not supposed to beat her. Of course, you can try to beat one copy and get the Xian Imperial Robes, but you'll probably regret it when all the other Prazac clones start fighting over the throne. You'll need to do so if you want to become Emperor, though.
  17. Alorael is the person who made the post directly above yours, and all the other posts that end in similar ways.

The only thing that comes to mind is better AI for NPCs that actually join the party. At the moment, an NPC's script doesn't seem to affect its behaviour once it's joined the party. Of course you can work around this by having the NPC follow you using scripts instead of joining the party, but that means PCs can't cast spells on the NPC.
  19. I think that in this case using the character editor to give your mage the spells is a fairly legitimate option.
  20. Is your computer a laptop, by any chance? The sound you describe might be the fan spinning in response to increased CPU use. Turn your power down or play Geneforge in a colder room. In theory, it could be the fan even if it's a desktop, but that's less likely.
  21. There's also the fact that if you ask the player to modify the default graphics, SW will refuse to host your scenario on their site.
  22. In the hintbook, for one thing. Possibly in the game as well.
