  1. Killing absolutely everyone gets you the unaligned ending, which is arguably the best ending if you're unmodified and still pretty good if you're modified.
  2. That's what we mean. And the sounds you want to play are in fact 49 and 50, the footstep sounds.
  3. WTF Did you somehow fail to notice that this topic is over a year old?
  4. Apparently scattering millet seeds over a vampire's grave every night is supposed to keep them inactive, as vampires are all obsessive-compulsive and have to count the seeds before they can do anything else. Similarly, throwing a handful of millet seeds on the ground behind you is an effective way to escape if a vampire is pursuing you.
  5. It'd really help us if you gave us some idea of what the window said. Also, make sure you're downloading the right version for your computer; if you're using Windows, for example, you don't want the Mac version of the editor.
  6. It's not a bad idea. After all, you have to account for the possibility of the player taking in a non-human party.
  7. I think what the designer wants is to have resting consume extra water over and above what's normally consumed in the same amount of time -- he's already talked about implementing water itself in another thread. And while there are ways to check whether the party has been sitting on the same spot for a long time, none are particularly easy. (Basically, you need a timer and a script on every terrain that resets it when stepped on.)
  8. There's no Make Towns Forget You option or anything like that? Well, this is a bit of a sticky situation. I guess you'll have to try killing her, leaving town and then unkilling her via editor. If she's already angry at you, it can't hurt.
  9. Thanks for the responses. I know that the Druid's Bracelet seems to give +4 to all Druidism skills, but wasn't sure how the Intelligence Bracelet compared to that. Question 1 is still the most bothersome -- it seems odd for one of the keys to a Roman-only area to be accessible only to Celts. But maybe it's just Jeff's way of teasing us.
  10. Well, I've finally finished Nethergate as both Celts and Romans and a few things are bugging me. 1. Is there a way to get through the sealed door under Ruined Hall as Celts? I've found two opening stones (one in Shadow Valley Fort, one somewhere else much earlier) and I'm wondering if there's another one somewhere. 2. What happens (for either side) if you don't free the spirit in the Abandoned Mine? I suppose for the Celts you just don't get the HP/SP boost, but I somehow doubt that failing to free the spirit as Romans allows you to bypass the entire Hedge Prison, and I really don't feel like going through all over again just to check what does happen. 3. Does Sylak's Enlightening Amber actually do anything? Zeviz's walkthrough says it gives bonuses to knowledge skills, which I assume means Rune Reading and Item Lore. If that's all it does, I'd much rather have the seven league boots from the Widow Queen. 4. Is there any way to get Hero of Old if you give the stones to the Rose Lady instead of Samael? I prefer the stat boost over the spell anyway, but it'd still be nice to have the spell as well. 5. Which is better, an Intelligence Bracelet or a Druid's Bracelet? I also noticed one interesting little bug/oversight. As Celts, if you try to return to the Crone Caverns after killing the crone outside the Spire of Ages, you'll be attacked by Caryatids outdoors as you approach -- as far as I know, this doesn't happen if you approach the Crone Caverns earlier in the game. If you kill the Caryatids and enter, you'll see that there are still three crones there, all apparently alive and well. As near as I can guess, Jeff decided he ought to change the Crone Caverns appropriately once you killed the crone, but then forgot to finish what he'd started.
  11. I think he means the four criteria for the scenario, listed in the first post of the topic.
  12. I'm not sure exactly what you want to do with these features you're requesting, but if what you want is for a few specific items to be sold in limited quantities that are replenished at certain points throughout the scenario, the best way to do it might not be through a shop.
  13. I can very easily imagine a scenario using much more than 273 of those images. Remember, every single dialog box using a picture like that would have to be a separate image. Nice idea, though. I guess it'd be useful for placing emphasis on really major scenes.
  14. Could be a lot of things; probably either a video card or another program that doesn't get along well with Nethergate. Do you have anything else running in the background while playing Nethergate? You could also try changing your monitor resolution to see if that makes a difference; I believe Nethergate prefers 800x600 and thousands of colours, but I'm not sure.
  15. The Empire still had routes into Exile before the Portal Fortress was built; it's just that they could only send a small number of troops through at a time, not enough to decisively crush the Exiles. And, uh, technically the war had already started before the start of Exile II.
  16. Did you steal her treasure? Did you damage a friendly monster by mistake in her lair? Which Exile game in particular are you playing? As for making her stop, leave town, use the Character Editor to reset hostile towns, and return.
  17. Some items just don't combine, and potions are one of them. If you find yourself with so many magical items that carrying them all is a problem, they're obviously not seeing much use; stop hoarding and start selling.
  18. It's been a while, but I think you're meant to put the straw on the 8 spaces around the ballista, not actually on top of it. Also, make sure that on the ballista you have both the cloth and the means of attaching it.
  19. It'll probably take less time to sober up while resting outside than it did to drink them in the first place. Really, though, I can understand drinking hundreds of bottles of wine to see what happens, but why did you drink hundreds of bottles and then save?
  20. For characters' names, it's probably fairly safe to use the names of people you know, or names taken from old newspaper articles (the Births, Deaths and Marriages columns are a good place to look). You can even consult a dictionary of first names if you're really stuck.
  21. They're angles from the x-axis (expressed in Cartesian form, so anticlockwise is positive). So 90 is north, 60 is north by northeast, 45 is northeast, 30 is east by northeast and 0 is east.
  22. You can't start with more than the first 6 spells in any circle regardless of your skill level. For Celts, I recommend starting having every druid start with 6 in War Circle (for Darts of Ice), and having at least one start with 3 in Spirit Circle (for Spirit Ceremony). Starting all Druids with 1 in Spirit Circle for Repel Spirit is a pretty good idea; wights and shades are pretty common and tough early on.
  23. There's a secret room just before you meet the first Doomer.
