I'd say I'm definitely a hoarder. My most prominent collections would be my library of sf/f books, unused pens, and photos. Though I also have quite a lot of other assorted junk that 'may be useful someday' that I just can't bring myself to get rid of.

Exile, no question. Especially if Blades is counted; my singleton could take on any shaper, any day! :-p

What really aggravates me is the websites that put a limit on the number of characters; (6-8, usually.) It feels so insecure. My passwords are generally long, and having to use only 8 characters is irritating.

Edit: Hmm, google actually seems to know. You might want to try it before making assumptions.

Alright, finished. Click to reveal.. (Ak-Deevt Level 6) Adding: 1 to Dexterity, 3 to Transmutation (4+5+6), 1 to Composure (3) Name: Ak-Deevt Alignment: Naïve/Inquisitive Race: Lacewing Occupation: Traveling Mage Level: 6 Skill Points: 0 Strength: 5 Dexterity: 4 Intelligence: 6 HP: 28/40 Stamina: 4/10 Magic (Conjuration): 6 Magic (Transmutation): 6 Magic (Enchantment): 5 Martial (Knives): 3 First Aid: 3 Composure: 3 Nature: 3 Perception: 2 Stealth: 2 Artifice: 2 Thievery: 1 (RB) History: 1 (RB) Click to reveal.. (Spells) Heal (conj, 1stm), Heals damage Elemental Orb (conj), Conjures an orb of the specified element, which can be used in combat or for various other tasks. Sleight (ench), “Make a small object vanish from sight.” Righteous Bulwark (conj), "Creates a suit of divine armor over the target, temporarily boosting their armor score." Shrewd Disappearance (ench), “Turns the caster invisible and dampens all sound they make.” Tame (ench), Calms the targeted creature’s mind, making them more amenable and less prone to violence. The spell’s effectiveness is increased when used against non-sentient creatures, but is weaker against people of strong will. Projection (ench), Creates an illusion of a person, creature, or object, which can be manipulated by the castor’s mental command. Ventrilio (ench), Projects illusionary sounds or voices to a designated location. This spell weakens in effectiveness the farther the target area is from the castor. Compound Orb (Conj, 1stm), Summons an orb composed of two different elements that obeys the caster's commands. Levitate (trans), Allows the caster to pick up and move objects at a distance. At higher skill levels the spell can reach greater distances, lift heavier objects, or move them with more precision. Teleport (trans, 1stm), Instantly relocate something from one place to another nearby or within sight of the caster. The spell can only transport something in its entirety. Click to reveal.. (Special) Frog in Throat: This enchantment convinces people that the target has a bad cold. People will hear the target's voice as slightly croaky, along with occasional sniffs, coughs, and clearing of the throat. This spell is always prepared and does not count toward the prepared spell limit. Shield of Distraction: There is something about you that makes you an appealing target. At times, you can use this to your advantage. In combat, you can protect someone by causing a distraction that makes opponents focus on you instead. The drawback of doing so should be obvious.

Then I'll redo my character plans and get that level in sometime today. Ugh, I really, really don't want that Conjuration yet. Nor the knives. This throws my plans off by so much

I personally think that music is a very important part of the gameplay experience. The lack of music in previous titles has been a significant detriment to my enjoyment of Jeff's games. This especially hit me when watching the Avadon Steam trailer; it made me think "this could be such a great game if it really had good music." For me, the sudden transition from menu/character creation to the silence in-game is a bit jarring. I also find my attention waning more when playing games without music. But I'm guessing I may be in the minority here; what do you guys think?

Click to reveal.. (Derl Kempal) Name: Derl Kempal Alignment: Dedicated Race: Dragonborn Occupation: Bladesman Skill Points: 6 Martial (Blades): 8 First Aid: 6 Composure: 7 Click to reveal.. (backstory) Derl Kempal has always been very focused. When he was young, he determined that he would become an expert swordmaster, and left home to start working on it. Unfortunately, he didn’t last long on his own before he fell in with a band of thieves. He was able to exploit his charisma and natural healing abilities to gain a position in their ranks and started a long, slow road of learning what he’d dedicated himself to. There were many more after that; he had no particular loyalty to any of the groups he passed through, though he did make sure to always finish anything he’d promised before moving on. Young and alone, he understood the wisdom of not upsetting everyone he came across. Years passed. Derl moved from island to island, sometimes with a group, sometimes on his own. He progressed, slowly but surely, toward his ultimate goal, taking any position or any job that could help him to advance…

I've been away for a few months and don't really want to read through all the various threads and posts that I missed. Is there any more recent or better feature-having release than the win32CBoE? I'm most interested in a version with less restrictions on the number of custom graphics, more special nodes available for each town, and/or the implementation of a 'usable' special node type. (I'm asking because I see there is a contest about, and I might be interested in actually finishing one of my scenarios so as to enter it. Maybe. ) Thanks!

Hmm...I can't seem to find the logs of the sessions I wasn't here for. I'm a little surprised the campaign isn't over yet, and I'm in complete suspense as to what y'all've done with Dee. Also, Dikiyoba, would it be okay if I discount the Nioca level and revert to my original plan for Levels 5-6, or would that be too continuity-breaking? Anyway, good to be back, let me know when you've got a calendar up.

Friday's good for me. :-)

I'll be leaving for the summer on the 13th (Monday); is there any chance of another session before then? Also, what do you want to do about Dee thereafter; should we write him out, or give him to someone else to play?

I don't remember if I've asked this before, but are there any plans for making the 'Use' function more useful? Perhaps a 'usable' special node (similar to look, enter, etc). -

I'm not home Friday, so I'm hoping you mean the 30th.

Are there any plans for an option to auto-reveal a city's map? I know you can set towns to unmappable, but I have a few ideas that would be greatly aided by an always-explored map. Or a node option to reveal/hide the entirety of a city's map. That would also be useful. -
I still play new release scenarios and, though I have yet to make one that is worth playing, still hope to release one of my own someday.
-
Are you accepting BoE scenarios too, or is it exclusively for BoA?

I always thought import town overwrote the town with the same number, not pasted it into the current town, but maybe I'm remembering wrongly. Edit: I stand corrected, towns can indeed be duplicated through import. Thanks! This will come in very handy. :-) -

I have another question; (probably already been asked somewhere, but I don't know how to find it,) Are there any plans for allowing you to copy/paste sections of towns? Even just a "duplicate town" option would save a lot of time when making different versions for major events/cutscenes/whatever.
