  1. You're a shaper and have a minor teleportation power. You can summon an item from your pack that is many yards away instantaneously without energy or essence cost. You know, like in real life when you magically teleport some toilet paper when you forget to check first.
  2. That's because its assumed you can just drop the pack while fighting and pick it up right after your done. You know, like in real life when a bunch of roamers spring up on you as you're traveling to the next town.
  3. You could kill him if you side with Litalia. After you sabotage the purity agent, will the council attack you when you try to visit them? Or do you need to meet him after saying hello to the council members? Either way, there's a way to kill him and not get too much backlash.
  4. My agent had 16 parry by the end of the game. It was just as maxed out as the Guardian's would be. I saved skill points by purchasing lots of points in numerous skills first and keeping blessing magic rather low. When I needed buffs, I put on items. I think, because of the kill spell, the advantage because of distance, and the aura of flames ability, my agent would be more powerful than a well built guardian.
  5. G1 - No idea. I'd guess not Guardian. G2 - I finished as a Agent a while ago (on torment) and ended more powerful than I have been before. G3 - Shaper (I'm doing a Loyal Shaper run on torment (and no canisters!), I have 6 vlish and Alwan. Its a breeze.) G4 - Mental Magic Servile FTW!
  6. G3 CHARMS LOCATIONS Blademaster Charm - Darkstone Core (Kill the Golem) Clawbug Charm - Keep West Gate (Finish Gob's Quest) Cryoa Claw Charm - Stonespire (Shaper Agatha's Quest & loyalist only) Essence Charm - Benerii-Eo Vat Core (Southeast) Gruesome Charm - Creator's Hall (In the room with the creator) Infiltrator's Charm - Tower Gates (On a body) Lucky charm - Sea Caves (In a nest in the NW) Mental Focus Charm - Inner Keep (NW) & Recipe (Madness Gem + Demon Bile + Glaahk Eye + Rotghroth) Omnicharm - Monastery Caves (Kill the creator in the NW) Physician's charm - Madness Mire (Behind a Spawner) Puresteel Charm - Benerii-Eo Labs (NE with a Golem) Skein of Wisdom - Dhonal Docks (Vlish drops on death, need Finn's quest)
  7. Matt didn't provide a list of locations and there is no list on here. I was wondering if there was a charms list and I just couldn't find it. I guess I'll make one real quick.
  8. Try keeping your character as far back as possible (to the point where you aren't healing your main guy) and just heal your War Tralls as much as possible. Let The other creatures and shapers take losses (you are telling them to charge, right?). Don't let your character take any damage if at all possible (be sure to take out the pylons you can though). If that doesn't work, change the difficulty setting. If your at normal, you can go down to casual to make up for the difficulty of not having those living tools. If none of that worked, and you really really think you can kill him if you just had the living tools, shift+D "rechargeme" and "healmenow". They are cheats, but, then again, you weren't told you needed living tools.
  9. See, this is why the bad guy should be Ethics. It fits all points of view.
  10. Hmmm, I guess according to the endings of all sects, Taygen is a bad guy. On the list!
  11. Well, if your going to put Ghaldring on there, you might as well put the Shaper Council to support the other argument's side.
  12. The overriding bad guy is ethics. What is right when, what is wrong when, and the battle between the lesser of two (or three or four) evils.
  13. Ok, thanks for the input on my thoughts. Ya, if your not making any more creations, then no need for more shaping. I originally thought you were planning this had hadn't started. As for your shaper, start upping his magic skills to make him a useful fighter as well as a healer in the back. Personally, I'd start treating my shaper as an agent at this point. It'll make a very powerful endgame team. I may do this my next run through. It sounds fun =) What difficulty are you on?
  14. I have an agent, not a shaper. I have no creations. I need the action points, I want to use the skill points wisely, and the extra strength really isn't necessary.
  15. I'm killing drakons in one round already (3 in kill). Only one creature has evaded a strong daze (3). I can put more to spellcraft though; that'll help everything. I also have all the bonus armor pieces, so these are not my item'd stats. Should I raise intelligence? I can only cast kill 3 times before having to use firebolt, the claymore, or running away.
  16. A possible easier way to do this: You can get a drayk cheapest with Phariton if your unaligned. Join the Loyalist for early benefit (no shaper opinion required) and then leave after getting in barzite lands. Don't upgrade your mechanics that high, just run past the sprayers and be careful not to get hit. If you do, pull around a corner and heal. I believe your creations will not set them off, so have them sit by the exit, then run your shaper through with the haste spell. You'll want fire shaping as high as possible, as well as lots of endurance toward endgame for your clawbugs and thahd. Maybe pick up the abandoned thahd in the crags early instead of making one? I'm not as sure for this one, since the lack of control really makes people cringe. Edit: Get those creation levels as high as possible. Invest as heavily as possible in shaping. These creations are generally weaker, so having them with higher levels will make the endgame more pleasant.
  17. What does Demon's Bile do? I have yet to find a real use for it. Matt's walkthrough mentions the shaper in south rising road making a shaped breastplate, but I was wondering if there is something better that it could be used for. I'm also running a powergame on torment, agent class. I Have 55 extra skill points just laying about (was at one point 81). I have just left the awakened, played with phariton a bit, and I think I'm ready to join the next group. First, where do I put my skill points? I have plenty of modifiers for leadership and mechanics. I'm not worried about those. High Battle Magic allows me to kill drakons in one turn (15AP helps too). Also, I was thinking I'd join the servants, then the barzites, then the takers, but what order should I join the other sects (and if I destroy the magus complex for Zachary, can I also get credit from the Barzites? That'd solve my issue)? Stats without items and charms: Strength-3 Dexterity-4 Intelligence-6 Endurance-6 Melee-5 Missile-2 Quick Action-5 Parry-8 Battle M-14 Blessing M-6 Mental M-6 Spellcraft-6 Fire-0 Battle-0 Magic-0 Healing Craft-1 Leadership-6 Mechanics-10 Luck-2 Owned Charms: Infiltrator's, Skein of Wisdom, Lucky, Physician's, Clawbug
  18. I change my mind. My argument was quite flawed. The morals then must come from the individual's own mind. During upbringing, some ideas are nurtured, and others are discouraged. Then, if they find a worthy superior, they solidify gray areas in their own thoughts with their thoughts. Better? Yes? No? I like discussing abstract things like this. =) And for clarification, the superior can be anything from a parent to the government to a deity.
  19. Well, Jeff already has an engine with dual wielding. I wouldn't be surprised if this showed up in more of his future games either. Also, he added dual wielding to the Avernum engine. He could very well add it to his Geneforge engine.
  20. Why are we debating the minor historical discrepancies in a fictional world? Edit: Oops, didn't realize it was dead. I was probably in the search function and saw this.
  21. But the God of Abraham does call for an uppercase "g" because to many it is his name. That's why I said that it'll usually be about the God of Abraham. Its not for disrespect to other religions, it is respect to those who revere this specific supernatural deity. Reverence for most others does not require the capital letter.
