  1. Have you tried the F10 key? (699)
  2. For Exile 3, I captured the souls of an Order Mage and a Slith Archmage. A Quickghast may be good to have in some situations; a Crystal Soul may also be useful. It's a bad idea to capture a Doomguard, as any copies of the monster you summon will attack you. (697)
  3. Hold down the Shift and D keys simultaneously, and type in the following: sdf 79 4 0. This will make Icy End friendly. (696)
  4. The amount of leadership needed to get every possible benefit is 16 if you're a loyalist and 14 if you're a rebel. Ten will get you through most of the situations which check this skill. This is after equipment bonuses and the Charisma spell if you have it. (695)
  5. To rescue the prisoners, find the secondary exit in the southeast corner and then tell them about it. To recover the personal effects, search the different boxes; there are 5 personal effects and 3 prisoners if I remember correctly. The staircase at (57,1) is on the other side of the lava flow. Knowing Firewalk will help you reach it. (691)
  6. Get the Entry Baton from the West Workshop and then tell the shade that appears that you won't cooperate. A bunch of Sholai will then appear and attack you; when done, the doors will open at your approach. If you've previously gotten another Entry Baton or you've cooperated with the shade, press the Shift and D keys when you're in the Ice Walls. Type in the following: sdf 49 23 1 (690)
  7. Head to the Monastery of Tears, and find the eyebeast Aktrum to the west of the center, and then go to the north and then east. (689)
  8. It's 543202 if I remember correctly. (687)
  9. The Shade Patrol was designed for stealth, not combat. Have your main character hide in one of the branches until you know the shades have passed; repeat as needed. Making a creation and putting it on the main road will help, as the shades won't notice your creations. If you get to the northwest corner, you can deactivate the power spirals with enough mechanics; this also stops the machines from making more shades. (684)
  10. There isn't an Orb of Thralni in the default item selection, but you can make one yourself. Create a custom item with ability 213, and give it a strength of about 5. (683)
  11. Press the Shift and D keys, and type the following into the prompt: sdf 100 4 0 When done, the game will think that you haven't used any canisters, but you will retain the skills the canisters gave you. (682)
  12. Talk to the serviles and say goodbye. Start talking to them again; you should then have the option of confronting them. If not, ask them how they survive out there(which reveals that they're armed) and confront them. (681)
  13. Open the Geneforge folder, and then Geneforge Files. There should be folders in this folder named "Save0" through "Save15"; if not, create new folders with those names. If I remember correctly, one Geneforge installer didn't create the necessary folders. (680)
  14. Back up your save file, and then go into Geneforge 3. Press the Shift and D keys simultaneously, and then type in 'sdf 79 4 0' Killing Khossos doesn't make Icy End hostile, but entering the cave he's guarding does. (679)
  15. You need at least 6 points in Leadership to convince Mind Proo to open the door. (678)
  16. Mechanics: 20, unless you skip the Monastery Caves, in which case the requirement is 14. Leadership: 16 if you're a loyalist, 14 or 16(depending on whether you've aided the rebels earlier; telling Learned Darian that you'll deal with Master Elek counts) if you're a rebel. (677)
  17. If you've previously found Harston, head to the NE corner of that section's map, and then head east. At the end you'll find the Empire Docks. Take a boat from there west and then south. Get off when you come to the last landing on the river, and there will be a secret passage in the eastern cave wall. At the end of this passage is the Portal Fortress. (676)
  18. Head to the Lair of the Creator, and then find the shade. Head west and fight your way past the three spawners. Beyond the last one is the Shaping Tome. (675)
  19. 1. Yes. 2. Open the Geneforge 3 folder, and then Geneforge 3 Files. Inside there are several folders which are used to store save slots. Open one of them and delete the items data, header, items, and journal inside to clear the slot. 3. I didn't find Cure Effects in the basement on my last playthrough. There are three people who will train you in it; the first one is in South End. 4. Not that I'm aware of. (674)
  20. Find the room with the spraying and flaming shrubs; one of the doors there will open if you have the key. You might have opened it already if you tried the Unlock spell on it; this bug has been reported. (673)
  21. You may need five points in Fire Shaping to make a cryodrayk. In Geneforge 2, you needed two points above the requirement for a first-level creation to make the creation that becomes available when you have a skill of 3 in that statistic, and it likely works the same in the other games. (671)
  22. In the Breeding Halls, find the canister of mental magic, and then enter the room to the south. The journal half will be there. (670)
  23. Yes. Talk to him with 14 or more leadership after you have previously attempted to use the orb to kill Lord Rahul. (669)
  24. The nimble sandals are in the Inner Mines; to find them, go to the west entrance and then through the locked door to the south. Beyond this door is a body with them on it. (668)
