  1. The tunnel is below the Golem Factory, but you need to reach the control panel in the southeast corner of the second floor to pass through it. Enter the factory, and retrieve a key from a chest under the factory; the staircase is in the northeast corner. When that is done, climb to the second level through a staircase in the northwest corner of the first, and head for the control panel. Once you have reached the control panel, press the grid alpha and beta buttons as well as the two shielding buttons. From there, go down to the lowest level, and then to the north exit. (587)
  2. Originally posted by USA-se Xenerali-boariku CUSITURA: I recall you being able to shoot one person for free, and the next one turning the town hostile. I did this to make guards in Drypeak fight each other once. That depends on the town's crime tolerance. Drypeak has a tolerance of 7, while Belik's Crossing has a tolerance of 2; lower numbers mean less tolerance. No area in Geneforge 2 has a tolerance above 8. Therefore, Belik's Crossing will probably turn hostile if you do that; I don't know how much each crime counts for. (556)
  3. Reboot into Mac OS 9(if possible) and try to delete the file there. If you can't reboot into Mac OS 9, open the application "Terminal" in your Applications/Utilities folder and enter the following: rm followed by a space. Drag one or more files into the Terminal window, and then click on the Terminal and press Enter. BTW, what exactly do you mean by 'crashes'? Does a message come up with the text "You need to restart your computer" and a picture of the power button? (551)
  4. You do not need to backup any other files to transfer your saved Geneforge game to a new computer. (547)
  5. Except for the drakon golem at the north end, you should only get experience the first time you deactivate a golem with a living tool. (533)
  6. Part of your problem is due to the "no-cache" line in the HTML source of each page. This is annoying(Drakefyre; can you get rid of it?) Server speed is very slow today, which doesn't make it any easier. (479)
  7. Here: ftp://ftp.spidweb.com/user_scen/Wormwood.zip File names are case sensitive on Spiderweb's FTP server. (453)
  8. Romans cannot train in Beast, Craft, or Spirit skills. By completing a mission somewhere, you can get 4 levels in Beast and 4 levels in Craft, or 8 levels in one and 0 in the other. Romans can never get any points in Spirit, and therefore can never cast any Spirit Circle spells. (423)
  9. Go into the Finder and show info for the application; this command is in the File menu. In the information window, choose "Open in the Classic Environment." (385)
  10. Earlier versions of the Mac Blades Character Editor had this problem when the party consists of less than 5 PCs. The latest version allows you to select the options from the menu bar: ftp://ftp.spidweb.com/mac/mac.bladespced.101.sit.hqx (381)
  11. No. The Dirty Anama Ring is the one Grunders lost. The rings you get from the Guild boss are identical to the ones Anama members wear. Having them will get you some, but not all, of the benefits of being Anama members. (378)
  12. It makes it possible for you to reach the Mind Crystal, which you have to shatter to complete the quest. (355)
  13. The Avernum 3 files(both preference and saved game) are in the same format for the Classic and Carbon applications. Your Classic saved game can be used as is. To transfer the registration, copy the file from the folder "System Folder:Preferences" to the folder "Library:Preferences" inside your home directory. This won't work if the OS 9 preference file doesn't contain the registration, and isn't necessary if you do not intend to use the Carbon version in Mac OS X. (385)
