  1. Approach the walls of the mayor's office from outside and head to the east edge of town from there. At the end of the building should be a narrow passage. Walk down there, fight the hydras, and at the other end you should emerge in a strange ruin.
  2. I enjoyed Spider's remark when I correctly guessed the chiefs name was Spider. (Not as funny in A3)
  3. I have to refrain, as I let Thralni down the last time I tested something.
  4. "Hi, I'm a talking skull" Yeah, don't ya dare call me sword here "dopey" or y'all give you and egg for an eye. Darned skull. A skull can't be darned, but oh well.
  5. I was only eight or nine when I purchased Exile III. Being excessively naive, I gave all my characters every positive advantage while adding the slithzerikai penalty as well. I also started that first party with one character possessing level twenty lockpicking. I won the game regardless, but I know not to overload characters now.
  6. I did not purchase the first two segments, which likely discloses my predilection on this subject.
  7. -Advancing skill levels require more skill points with each progressing level. -Avernum 3 had nights, unlike Exile 3. -Avernum series has many more quests, which are placed in a convenient "current quests" window. -The Avernum series lacks a bestiary, as well as a scry monster spell. -Missle weapons deal more damage, especially in A3 -In A2, there is a secluded dungeon (South of Fort Draco)with a few gremlins and a giant...in E2 that dungeon had a naga. -In A3 Rentar-Ihrno is defeated by altering some lasers, but in E3 you merely had to reach the control panel. -"Ritual of Sanctification" is an ability instead of a spell in the Avernum series. -The gold limit in the Exile series was higher. -An experienced player can't simply say a word, he or she must have a set stuff done flag. For example, in E1 a player could merely say "Icarus", but in Avernum you had to have joined the Scimitar first. I'll let the others finish.

  9. Turn off the caps lock key. I hate it when stuff like that happens.
  10. Awakened I just noticed that the active topics in the last five days are polls.
  11. Quote: A trait improves accuracy with a bow? OK, BY HOW MUCH? In the trilogy, bows skills increase accuracy by five percent. Sharpshooter, on the other hand, increases damage and does little to accuracy. I'm actually not sure about Sharpshooter increasing accuracy or not, but I think it doesn't.
  12. I've played the first three demos. Geneforge was the only game of the three I enjoyed.
  13. Funny, I don't recall finding the sixth crystal. I cheated via the editor.
  14. Actually, I planned that the tome can only be accessed within a dungeon, but come to think of it, this idea requires way too much scripting.
  15. I've inquired of various subjects earlier this year, but this time around I actually plan to create a scenario. I hope it will be included in the scenario contest, but procrastination might get the better of me. The majority of members here prefer not to be spoon fed. However, many individuals often rely on help, and I've conjured a new idea about answering questions. The concept is that a character ability activates a tome or orb that summons a help menu. Stuff done flags will decide what the player may need aid with and a list of questions are viewed. Upon selecting one, a walk through will appear concerning that obstacle. My question is: What is your opinion concerning this?
  16. Quote: Edit -are you guys glad that I am finally making Muffins n' Hell? I...don't know.
  17. Quote: Just wait until you get to the tower of shifting floors in E3.... Talk about respawns being a pain in the ass.... In my opinion that's the most difficult dungeon in both trilogies. I've only fiddled with BoE once, and I think respawn rates are set in the town details section.
  18. Alint doesn't work on older platforms. I'm forced to do it the old-fashioned way.
  19. That is a good idea, but the lack of scenarios contributed might prevent it from being worthwhile.

  21. I've been working on a scenario off and on for awhile now. I suppose I should devote a little more effort to it.
