I doubt the third character was Monarch; I think it was the Gar... whatever who was the first Shaper captured before your character in G1.... But I digress. I don't get why people can still side with the Drakons in the Geneforge games. I never have and never will, they are crazy and much worse than the Shapers. My bet is a Rebel victory leading to G5. Damn Drakons killing everyone off, see what happens when you question the Shapers!

I'm going without any magic or shaping or canisters right now... It is difficult with lots of running back and forth.

It hasn't really been decided that there is a rebel ending officially for G4 (I don't think). And G3 assumes a rebel victory...

I know that drayks can reproduce on their own, but I somehow doubt drakons can. There has never been reference to them reproducing, just "shaping" new ones. I think that drakons have modified themselves way too much to be able to reproduce still. Are there even drakon females? I've never met one in the series.

There has only been speculation that serviles were made from humans, nothing has actually supported it with evidence.

I pretty much think that shoali would generally support the current regime for trading purpouses.

I agree with i*, though I bet that Jeff would find a way to make G5 interesting, I feel that you should stop while you are ahead, not end on a sour note. I mean really, if I saw another Geneforge I would like to see new creations, but at the same time I would question why it would take the Shapers hundreds of years to make those few basic war models yet crank out like 6 in a few years. We don't want another thing like G3 where most things are repeats. I also realise that it is difficult to come up with a whole new game series. Not only in a creative sense, but that it will always be compared to his previous series. In any case, I don't expect to see a new game any time soon from Jeff, but when it comes out, I think the wait will be worth it. Edit: grammer

This challenge sounds fun. I have been replaying through the series (all loyalists G2+G3 no canister) and when I get back to G4 I think I'll try it.

I think that I'll start a club, the "I was waiting since G1 to use the geneforge again, but was found the use of the geneforge in G4 somewhat anticlimactic." I liked G4, but that geneforge was weak.

I was wandering what was the most interesting things (in a strange way) that you have ever done in G1-3. Mine is probably a common one, I destroyed the Awakened town (I was an Obeyer) with only a group of ornks.

Geeze a lot written since I have been gone so excuse me if I miss anything or refer to anything that seems many posts ago. Please hurt me, because I am much closer to ET's opinion than to Waylander's. Of course I see some holes in his reasoning, but I see holes in Waylander's too. Shapers do not want you to speak out against them and may be harsh, but people (humans) flourish under them. There are good living standards for humans and trade is great. Everyone is safe except for the occasional accident. Drakons ARE represive and regard all as inferior to them. Shapers are humans and capable of evolution and adaptation, but Drakons only evolve in the way opposite to what is good for us "lesser" beings. The Shapers have shown that they are getting less and less dogmatic (see how they no longer have arenas). Want to use history to explain things? Heres one thing that you should know if you took AP Euro: The Japanese became what they were because of Western Imperialism and its harshness. Who's to say that they would not follow the path of the Western nations and eventually relinquish or lower their grip? You would basically be arguing that the Japanese are worse people if you don't even entertain the thought. The "all gloves off" approach to the rebellion in America would probably lead to America just replacing Japan and a vicious cycle ensuing. I'm tired, just got home and will post more on this when I'm thinking more clearly. Please point out anything you see as a mistake in my post. I was writing this post when Waylander posted so I didn't respond to what he said. Waylander: Your views on the rebellion may very well change once you see G4. Segregation and total disregard for all lives other than Drakons ensue in it. Still tired... write more later.

You are the only one because people hold grand illusions as to what they would do. But when the time comes most won't. Talk is fine and all, but it is rarely backed up by action.

Fear is effective and people have a tendency to keep their heads down during a storm. I would be supprised if even 1 out of 12 America adults would take part in constant active (some violence included) resistance. Most people would just wait out the storm and hope they don't get blown away.

This is iffy but in G1 there is an area of "old rogues" which we assume that they are the decendents and not 200+ year old ones. They are all vlish. So that leads to the question of how do vlish reproduce?

Well the lame and often used explanation is just that some people are more effected mentally than others by canisters and the geneforge.

Definately the Shapers, the Drakons use the same methods and are more extreme than the shapers. And, if I am allowed to bring G4 into the picture, you see how little they care for human life.

Maybe he ment thahd shades? Though they were no longer an option in G4.
