  1. The problem with controlling what your creations look like is that Shapers generally don't know how to do such trivial things. Shapers succeed through trial and error, and don't really have time to concern themselves with changing the color of a functional creation.
  2. I think that missle weapons are very useful. 100 posts...
  3. It really depends on what type of character you are planning to make and which Geneforge you are planning to play (of course G1 is a good place to start). The general consencious is that battle shaping is useless (at least on a higher level of playing) and that if you are playing a character that plans on entering the fray a lot that you should use missle and not melee (though I like to play with melee cuz it presents a challenge). Oh and that don't invest too much in blessing magic, just enough to get the blessing spells you want.
  4. Good name cuz we all know that Jack Bauer can't die, he just gets tortured in some way every 15 minutes...
  5. I never really got why they were never near the ones that needed to be fed... A strange twist of fate that that was true for every single one...
  6. I am the only one to vote for A1 currently...
  7. There was a certain sence of strength in her, and she was your mentor. Also, if for nothing else, she was the first none-mad shaper you met in the series.
  8. She should have been executed in front of you or, if you joined another sect, you should have been able to kill her.
  9. I know a few people that loved G1, but refused to buy 2 (and I guess 3) because they felt nothing was substantually new (including plot).
  10. But the studio was big enough for them to prance around so much and I got the feelling that she shot the shotgun right after bursting through the door which means there could be a decent distance between her and the emperor and emperess. Also, she would not be an average shooter, she would be the same as the worst possible shooter in the USA (which should mean something).
  11. I read Harrison Bergeron last year and it was one of my favorite storries. The only thing that annoyed me is that the Handicap Gerneral shouldn't have had any better aim than anyone else, so how could she shoot them both dead in two shots? -"I am the emperor!"
  12. Sounds like your old teacher from the school in G3. Master Hogue or something like that.
  13. Even though animals are not able to comprehend our politics, doesn't mean they don't have almost equally complex politics either. Many animals do have social structures that basically integrate politics as part of it. Think of merekats, gorillas, several types of monkeys, and several others. PS Dolphins share in common with us a rare trait in which they have sex for pleasure whenever they wish, and form complex relationships.
  14. No offence i*, but you probably should have put in mathematics instead of calculas in your last post. Most of the human population probably wouldn't be able to learn calculus. Also, how many serviles or drakons would be able to learn calculus?
  15. Just playing devil's advocate here: i*, just because something can't talk doesn't mean much really... Vlish are superbly intellegent but they don't have the means of communication. It is like with animals, they don't have the correct vocal cords to speak as humans do, and yet a gorilla can learn sign language which means they can understand and (if given the right means) can communicate themselves.
  16. The topics of souls, of course, is purly a religious topic. I, for one, reject that the world was made for humans in specific. You can make this mean whatever you want to in your mind, but doesn't this just make us all (including animals) just destined to join a greater whole once we die?
  17. I would say making a melee guardian (I did this in G2 though it wasn't too hard since I invested heavily in parry).
  18. My preferences: G1: Make my own empire after using (then destroying) the Geneforge. Those small minded fools could never understand my greatness... G2: Become a Servant. Everyone else was not very nice to me... G3: Join the loyalists. The rebels are approaching evil if not already consumed by it.
  19. Waylander: You see the Shapers as the Nazi's of WWII and the Drakons as the Allies... I could not more strongly disagree. The Nazi's rose to such power because the Allies let them (look in a history book, WWII was not that hard to prevent). I see the Drakons as the Japanese in WWII. The Japanese saw what had happened to China when Western Imperialism came and was like, "Holy @#$@! We see how it is... You must either conquer or be conquered!" The Drakons are even worse than this. I'm not going to say that the Shapers are America, but they are deffinatly closer to being America than the Drakons are to being the Allies.
  20. Umm, no effence Savage Ed, but one of your story examples if contrary to your arguement (not to say that you are wrong or right, just pointing this out). Have you actually read the book Frankenstien? Frankenstein's monster only became the way he was, because no one accepted him and all cried out that he was a monster. He actually started out innocent and nice, but it was because others treated him like, and expected him to act like, a monster, he became one.
  21. The only comfortable way to complete the game on Torment without canisters and without the augmentation of the crazy shaper guy is if you are a Servant.
