  1. You still can go downstairs for that GIFTS quest.
  2. I'm pretty sure I saw a calculation on how to open a difficulty 90 door with a normal mage/thief character last year. It was buried in a thread so I'm not going to trust the search function to find it again.
  3. Has anyone played the game through as an evil party. For example robbing beggars and looting without doing any good actions. I was wondering since if you play good you get a reward at that place west of the Hollow Hills. There is a place near Vanarium where you get depraved thoughts, but no reward. Edit - I looked at the script to see the possible reward in Nethergate: Resurrection --- cool.
  4. Make the game harder for Torment level since Jeff hasn't done so for some areas. The character editor is pretty much the same as from old Nethergate at least from the player's viewpoint. I guess the technical details are different.
  5. It's Jeff's quick way of saying that you're not suppose to go there. Nethergate: Resurrection has a difficulty 200 door to get around all the people that figured out how to make a character that can open difficulty 90 doors (There's an empty room like that in the Castle).
  6. It's a worthwhile quest since you advance the Avernite cause against its enemies. I forget if there is any nice loot.
  7. Piercing crystals work on the magically locked doors that you can't do with tool use. The Anama have a cheap supply as a member so you don't need the mage spell unlock door.
  8. I think that you can open one, but I don't think there is anything special up there.
  9. Drops come in two forms - the preassigned ones and the chance of getting something based upon luck. For ornks the preassigned is meat, but I never saw a gem so congratulations on a rare drop.
  10. Keep hoping. Most of the old players ignore the documentation and miss the changes that do make it into it.
  11. At least with "unconcious" you don't have to pick up all the character's equipment and loot to haul back separately. The down side is that you can't access that one item that only he or she was carrying.

He can finally destroy all who oppose him in a massive devastation.
  13. I tend to pile up items that I think I might need and convert the rest to cash. If it can be sold, then I'll waste time hauling it to town. I usually can find something to buy to keep my money under the limit.
  14. They all have a dark side. Just turn in a spy and the next time you go back to where the spy was you find a puddle of blood. There is no good side, just how much evil do you want to support.
  15. It's in the demo area, but I never checked to see if you can get to it.
  16. Serviles are for the most part exploited. Everywhere that you see serviles under Shaper control there are plenty of whips and shackles lying around to keep them under control. If Shapers hadn't created them, they would have created something else to do the work. Serviles are the slave class. Just like slaves allowed Athens to have its golden age and us to have cheap workers using Mexicans. Of course now the Mexicans are complaining that even cheaper workers from farther south are taking over the worst jobs.

  18. Patchar's Plate is on Kuper Island accessable from Bigail. I thought you needed to visit Gale to get in there. You can go pretty far up the east coast but without being able to get into any towns. I know I played an unregistered version of Exile 3 a few times before I registed. You really can't do much without getting into the northern part after a while.
  19. It just shows that it's how a class is played on whether it's workable. Still you want a build that allows for more than hit and run tactics through a parts of the game. You aren't an agent.
  20. Slarty made the list but used his university account to post it. Since he graduated, they probably closed it out.
  21. Have fun. The two new dungeons are a fun challenge, kind of an expert area. Plenty of new items and little changes from the old Nethergate.
  22. Most of us don't shift items that much during battle. You try to get the best items for a general situation and minimize swapping. Besides you still have to watch your weight for encumberance. What I carry with are the potions, wands, and scrolls for extra spell power. I have them for the major fights. Edit - there used to be an item database at the top of the forum, but the link needs to be fixed since the account is gone.
  23. Thuryl - do you have to troll the newbies? I know it's easy but it's more fun to go after ET.
  24. Radiance is supposed to do extra damage versus undead, but in a test with three items at once - sword. shield, and necklace - I couldn't get a noticeable increase. The rotgroth in the wrecked lab gives you time to attack or flee unless you close to melee with it.
