  1. If you left the area with the golems and return it triggers a bug. What's suppose to happen is that you approach Moref, he activates the exploding golems, after Moref takes enough damage from being in golems when they are destroyed he then reappears and can be killed.
  2. The Barkeep is a robber. All the info can be gotten without payment or figured out if you play the game enough. There are two ways into the lower level of the Giant's Spire. The western approach leads also to the bats, a ladder up to that brush enclosed area, a Circle of Life cult area, and the barrier blocked entrance to Shafrir's lower level (which has a wheel control gate).
  3. That only works if you use the character editor to keep resetting the boat back to the start of the Dark River section each time you reach the end. Even a party of 4 has trouble getting all the non-cursed items to sell or use.
  4. I haven't tried it, but I have heard that others have done it. The only hard part is going through the Dark Waters section because you have limited inventory slots. You have to consider what you want to take at the start besides energy potions and what you want to keep.
  5. Similacrums of certain creatures attack you unless you charm them. Raven's summoned guardians are another case. You are supposed to wait for the invulnerability to drop and avoid taking damage in the mean time.
  6. Jeff loves to include moral dilemmas, even though most of us are amoral powergamers. Kill them all seems to be the general idea. There are places where you don't want to do it, because there are some benefits. The major consequence of not doing these quests, especially the Circle of Life ones is not getting something later. Destroying them in the Dark River area allows you to fulfill Donicio's quest. You do get choices in how much damage you do to them.
  7. When you find the rat infested elevator go north. Fight flame spewing bats and move to the northeast. There is a narrow path that spirals around the northeast part of the zone. The pit crawler is hiding in the northeast corner of the area within the spiral.
  8. Khyrykk's hidehout has a lever hidden behind a pillar that opens the door. Look for levers by slowly moving the mouse cursor over walls and pillars that can hide things by the game's perspective. Jeff likes to do this to hide controls and loot. I think the extra damage types are for future use. Edit - It took me a minute to remember the 3 battle betas. You need to kill the oozebeasts to open up the easter egg area for that hidden monster.
  9. Singletons aren't usually considered fun, at least at torment level. Adding arcane and nature lore means avoiding the tedium of going back to open all those caches and spellbooks that you have long forgotten about. Still a grind going back to carry out the loot, but there aren't that many places where it's impossible to get it. After seeing Bryce's topics discussing playing it on hard, I had to revise my views on doing it. Finding out that you could survive a death curse with an invulnerability potion makes the game playable as long as you find creative ways to deal with the AP draining monsters.
  10. It's more likely that it hasn't happened yet, because someone is busy. Think of it as more time to look back and see if there is something you want to keep.
  11. All you need is one really powerful creation to close with the unbound one while you stay back and heal the creation. I did this on torment after trying to go one on one with a single character. You can use the shaping items to raise your abilities, make a drakon or ur-drakon, then go at it. Eyebeast works as well.
  12. Besides Aran's bots can stuff the ballots in faster than the rest of the members.
  13. That's why you need multiple saves, which I didn't do until two years ago. One save before a dungeon area and a few inside to keep from losing too much time.
  14. It depends upon your computer as the game has to get the graphics information for the new area and draw it on the screen. It's worse on older slower computers. Go play Eschalon: Book 1 from Basilisk Games and see the "loading" graphic appear every time you change level or map section. It's really noticeable when you reload a game for a different map section than the previous one.
  15. They work the same and each one adds a level of damage or duration for the spell being cast. Buy which ever is cheapest at the time. Jeff originally meant for them to be different, but never got around to coding them so that there is a difference.

  17. Intelligence adds to those abilities and you want it for spell energy anyway. I found that you can get to the levels you need a little after you first find the spell books. Mage levels add to item identification and priest levels add to rune reading so you can add when you can afford it to arcane lore to make up the remainder. Item identification is just money. As a singleton you get enough.
  18. Really depends upon the game and how you use them. GF3 has vlish that are fairly broken in how easily they can stun opponents for their cost. The high level creations appear late in the game that can be really nasty.
  19. Lifecrafter is the easiest with your creations doing all the hard work. Servile/Infiltrator if you go the battle magic route. Both are about equal in magic and fighting ability.
  20. Until you go past the lasers to reach the lower level of the Roach Factory, you can leave and sell or store what you find. For the last area, I suggest minimizing weight and inventory slots so you can maximize what you can carry out of there. Once the factory is destroyed there is no going back for more. I suppose you could loot the lower level and return to destroy it, but with the scripted nature of the route in, I'm not sure if that's possible for the few extra minor items.
  21. Pylons can be destroyed by staying one step outside their attack range. Start with acid and pile it on until they are gone. Even in torment you can get 3 pylons before needing to go back to Fort Remote to recharge. Maybe summoned creatures might close and block the regeneration. Freezing golems are the worst, but with summoned creatures you can even deal with them.
  22. Those are the two endings. There are text variations depending upon whether you are currently Anama and if you took Gladwell's geas and he is still alive.
  23. Ask about recipes (last dialog option on the first group of choices). The first quest is Baquba the Aranea in the area below Northwest of New Harston.
  24. We probably will get a new creation in the higher levels, but not something as unbalanced as an unbound.
