i installed it on my xp laptop and moved the game over to my win 7 computer, but it plays abysmally slow

i just reached the chief with the ring, and i kind of feel bad for the guy. i mean all he wants to do is live in peace and i'm killing him for his ring. its completely unjustifiable from an ethical point of view. on the other hand the avengers ring is nice. is there any endgame effect on killing him?

i shut down the game and restarted but it still was running away i reset my computer and the problem went away this happened a few times in previous versions anyone know why?

windows vista avernum 6 version 1.0 i dont have any problem moving the characters but when i stop clicking on them they just move up
