  1. I go right back to Exile. The old-fashioned stuff doesn't bother me much.
  2. It's just a question of prefence. There's something for everyone.
  3. If you are closer to the Exile games you might be more familiar to those. I... think you might like the Avernum stuff. No hurt intended.
  4. Happy you found it There are some tricky parts to these games to say the least. While at the same time there are wholesome parts. Good games!
  5. She may be somewhere, then she's elsewhere... that's how they roll I guess...
  6. I eventually got through all the mirrors and puzzles, although initially annoyed at many points. It was satisfying to finally get them right. I think it's rather charming that tricky puzzles do exist. And it's a good thing there's hint books, I probably got through a few of the puzzling things mainly just by luck and with the time to try out different possibilities.
  7. Well, I must admit I've been eating too much pretty crap lasagna, but I'm going to improve my diet with a lot of healthy stuff, like fruit and vegetables.
  8. It is wonderful to see the great ones unite at times. Even at time passing, for time, after all, is merely a strange illusion. Godbless to thee!
  9. Toivo is a Finnish name which literally means Hope. And part octopus... can't wait to meet him!
  10. Congratulations! You've completed a marvellous adventure!
  11. It does work. If you want to be a little different(who doesn't), go for it.
  12. Heh I get what you're saying but it's still very much on the love side.
  13. This used to bug me. I recall doing some sort of meta-gaming and having some mage use a lemonwood bow instead of a lesser longbow "because she's more comfortable with it", even though it was de facto worse in every way. It just fitted better on her than a huge clumsy ugly bow...
  14. I, as a battle-scarred veteran of Exile, Avernum and Avadon, but yet a stranger to Geneforge(soon to change, don't worry!), find this terrifying indeed.
  15. Well, that's a Redbeard that I don't want to meet. Not that I'd ever want to, anyway. Hehe.
  16. Cutscenes are nice, but one can do without. I guess I'm rather "whatever you choose, sir" on this matter.
  17. Well, in case you just need it clear and concise: #1 Must talk to farmer Dragan a little to the north, conversation option 4. If there are only 3 conversation options, make sure you have the quest, and do anything what might be required for that option 4 because it is necessary #2 key is on a goblin body in northern mine west of Dharmon, once you've spoken to Dragan about the quest. Any luck so far, pilgrim? 😊
  18. Back before the new millennium I actually skipped the whole khazi politics and took simply to the slaughtering way of things when it comes to troglo. The reaction was kind of amusing, but I guess it worked. I recommend going the arguably more normal way though, so you don't miss stuff. Or at least do that first, as said before. There indeed is nothing of interest right behind Erika in-game, you're just not supposed to get there. So I've been told many times. I guess it is up to our imagination. Or rather beyond it... Ooh, freshly removed sanity in this jar by the door! How nice!
  19. Happy to hear you got past the mirrors. Always once you DO get the mirrors right and can move ahead normally again, there is at least a thrill of satisfaction as reward.
  20. Huh. I guess you really don't want to slack off. I believe one really has to optimize their stats and stuff to make it on Torment, that's why I always settle with Hard. That way I can be a bit funky with my choices, and even get away with total mistakes. To each their own, and I do admire your dedication! I hope you do get all the way through something, why not ALL SW games on Torment one day - the forums with their experienced members may help with that!
  21. How do I manage to fight a gazillion chitrachs with my sanity intact? JK, I had a very good time during that game also.
  22. We sure need bees. I hope they will survive and flourish.
