  1. Thanks. Well, I haven't thought of it. (Perhaps we should move that to the mod thread and keep this about the videos) The last fight is multi-episode? No cliff-hungers eh? Good one.
  2. Thank you for the kind words. If you start the mod keep in mind that while the questline could be started at any point, the later you start it, the later you would get the benefits. Yes, you could make Vlish as powerful as wingbolts (PS. I don't think that's the best use of your research potential; better follow the research quest lines) If you get those Vlish about the time you have 2 gazers in your army, the gazers would still be better. To answer: - You do not get creations earlier by this mod! It adds content, doesn't change it. - The research lab: Whether you would get it, depends on your choices. At some point in the early stages of my quest-line you get an event of "perhaps you could set up a laboratory in a place that has... " It is ONE specific place. It is a "puzzle" of shorts to figure what that place could be. If you visit many locations, you'll find it. But you need to have done something first that comes into play in the late game. The next contain minor spoilers: Attacks And get virtually any kind of creation? No but...
  3. Well, once (59-62 episodes) I said I would watch 2 episodes and watched 4 instead...
  4. Episode 64: The way Shapers treat Trakovites is abominable... I still remember GF4's cages that they locked them up to die of starvation. At least the Rebels, once Litalia left the Rebellion, are not actively hunting the Trakovites. Because in case you forgot, Litalia in GF4 was hell-bent in wiping out the Trakovites despite Greta's objections. That woman is hillarious... Shaper Alexie... I laughed. Good impersonation of a bizzare person in a bizzare organization. The "cuttings" you did here, to jump around the world were OK. Well, not sure why I tell you that since you finished the game, but just in case you record a bit more (or for other games), I do tell you. Episode 65: Weeeeell... If I may say (and don't take this wrong): At the veeeery beginning of the episode, we see in the log text that you have been in Alexie's lab, took the quest for the notes and have loaded back. But in the episode you say that you're concerned you forgot something and that perhaps Shaper Alexie can give a quest and go on to say that if you're wrong you would delete that part. I thought at first that you accidentally changed the order in the recording, but the log shows that it wasn't recorded out of sync. Not a big thing, just wondering what happened. Anyway... I returned and cleared those Kyshaaks with my 46-lvl Shaper. They had nothing of interest. And about the Cryodrayk guarding the cave. One of the most failed things it could say to dissuade you was what it said "We're just here to guard this cave. Nothing else. If you don't go in, we're cool. Just stay out of this cave." Yeah buddy, not going to happen. There was a biiiig fight with rogues in the desert that I skipped. I appreciate far more now your "let's not prolong fights" viewpoint. What I saw is... that you forgot to search he dead body after that big battle with the Gammas! Since I haven't cleared that part, I don't know what's there but probably something cool.
  5. I had bought the lot for a friend. It was more expensive (like 10$ for the whole thing) but I wanted to re-buy it anyway. Give them more money.
  6. Title says all! Even if you miss just one, it's a good deal to have them all in a bundle IMO.
  7. You certainly have a point. Just different perspective I guess; at times (and not always) I like the "Squad strategy" aspect of the battle. And after I got Gazer\Tralls I didn't need to think about my strategy. I let them reign. At other times I wanted just to get through the combat and go on with the story.
  8. I am sure of it. I enjoy your foray quite much. That's all the difficulty slider does? Increase enemy HP? Not how much damage they do or the chance to hit? I would say it IMO would be better if it gave enemies +4 levels. They would have more hp (although not much more) but they would be harder to hit, they would do a little more damage and scare less easily. If I may re-suggest: Could you perhaps record the extras you may do? There are faction only areas for example and quests that are different even in areas that you've visited.
  9. Congrats on finishing the game! You went for Alwan I guess. Did you try harder difficulty? Did the final battle present any problems for your Uber-mechanic-but-also-uber-creations char? If I may... GO FOR THE TRAKOVITES NEXT! The ride will be different AND entertaining. You'll see parts you haven't seen in the game.
  10. You're welcome. And you're officially my first beta tester...
  11. You don't have to register as far as I know. Hit Download now and you should be good to go. If it doesn't work... I can email it to you.
  12. Look, I haven't done it myself. But perhaps you'd be interested in this experiment: have you tried cranking up the difficulty to hard from normal?
  13. They're respawning? Do they give XP \ money? That's a good way to burn a dozen essence pods. With my artifacts and shaping skills and items, I bet I can make things the Shadow road-runners will barely be able to hit. It is an excellent game and many of the finales validate some of the player's choices. I went to the "let's finish this" because I burned to see how the saga ends, not out of GF5 fatigue. I have left a couple of areas or parts of areas. And I haven't done the high-level challenge zone. I have once found the 2nd pink gem, but I have forgot where I found it. For example... I've seen 3 places so far in your videos that I haven't been into. I never figured where the caravan supplies were for example, missing that 10+ clawbug cave.
  14. I was 47 level at the point I said "enough is enough, let's finish this". I haven't been in a couple areas since I was hyped about the end. Well... it will be probably 5-6 episodes or so for you. How do you feel? You probably spent the last 3-4 levels bulldozing every fight.
  15. That works too... Just don't forget to add the bulk here. It will be weeks before I get to that. What level are you?
  16. Emm... do you mind posting the links here so that in ... how many weeks I get to them, I could find them from the site?
  17. Not really... there are cases that the door shuts behind you etc etc. But they're mostly in the early game, not the late. For example, you can't get out of the Stoneworks without defeating Makar. Truth is, that the places where you can't just leave are the reasonable ones. Same with those that you CAN leave... If you're in an open map there's literally nothing that would stop you from leaving, resting and returning. All in all there are just a handful cases where locking you in would make sense and it doesn't happen.
  18. I also don't increase the other stats and concentrate on intel most. And in the end... I could have at lvl 47 (with kinda better creation-boosting \ creation making equipment than you due to artifact choices) 2 war-tralls, 2 gazes, 1 drakon, 1 cryodrayk and something else I forget. At +8 to +10 to their stats from equipment. I won't spoil the end fight, but I'll say I don't even need buffs up. (Although to be sincere, I usually go half-mechanics route to make it easier). And you're like 1-2 levels higher than I was already. At the power level you are at episode 63, the end fight is possible. Challenging, but not frustrating if you do a couple of right tactical choices I won't spoil. And you're half-way through the 2nd to last area.... O_O If I have one criticism for GF5 is that it gives a bit too much XP. By ... the level you are Unbound are not only doable, but EASY. By the end game, I went to the Oklavano Barrier and killed the whole rebel force. That included 4 Unbound. Together. Also the game allows too much "I'll run out to get my essence back \ make creations and return." You don't do that, but I do. Too few "closed door!" instances.
  19. EPISODE 63! The first post-cooling problem episode. First thing that came to my mind when reading about this "very young" and noob Guardian commander. That you can even mock about how he is placed here before his time: He has wingbolts and war-tralls. By the dozen... Apparently, this guy is more talented than half of Astoria's crew. I see you're considering raising leadership to 12... I think with the items you have (or would soon have) you would reach that without paying skill points. For mechanics, the same. I got intel 19 and finished at level 47 I think. And I had essence to spare. I would suggest that 20 intel is an overkill; do you really need 5+ tier 5 creations?
  20. Drakons? They're awesomely better Drayks. I always tell myself that I'll keep my trusty Drayk since it's competent to the end. And then I get Drakons.
  21. Well, the caves one you did ... several episodes before where I am was good balance IMO.
  22. " Since this bonus comes later, you have to at least equal the bonus levels you'd get from levelling, just to have these mega-vlish be as effective as regular vlish. " Forgot to answer that: I got Vlish at level 22. By the time I would have say 25 research notes I would be well into 35 lvl. That's +13 levels if I had a Vlish around for that long. HOWEVER: In the mean time, I got equipment and artifacts that give me a +4 to making Vlish, and improved my magic Shaping by +2-3. Perhaps there are cannisters of Vlishdom that I've also missed and dedicated Vlish people would increase their magic shaping even more. As such, that +8 from research would make any new Vlish of the commited researcher surpass a Vlish that has been with me from the start, simply because when I first got Vlish I would be way worse in equipment\Shaping. On the other hand... I can't say the same for Clawbugs. You can get clawbugs so early, that they can get easily +25 levels. Plated Clawbugs... dedicated research brings them more or less where they would have been if they were with you since you could first make them. Yet... research improves ALL three. The dedicated Vlish Shaper will get Vlish better than wingbolts ... and clawbugs that can also compete with level 4 creations even if he or she hasn't put more than a point or two in battle Shaping. You haven't even bothered to buy "battle alpha" research from those snobbish Shaper tutors and you're a dedicated Drayk Shaper? You'll get your battle betas too. And if you concentrate on low levels... there's something to be said about level 32 Artilae or Thands. On Thands specifically, I think they're better than Battle Alphas since charged thands have high resistance and they're higher level. The dedicated Cryora\Thand\Artilla researcher can get surprisingly much out of such cheap creations.
  23. V1.1 is Out! Thanks to those that made suggestions for improvement. - Corrected some spelling mistakes - Research on creation types now increase all the creations of a tier.
  24. Well, don't speed up ALL fights. I like to check on your tactics. A couple of fights in an episode is fine. It's when it's a combat heavy episode that things seem to become slightly less interesting.
