  1. Ok, I just found out the problem. I have a stereo system and a 5.1 headphones. Although I'm using the speakers, the sounds appear on my headphones. I think I have to set my computer sounds to stereo, so that all sounds channels go to my speakers. Sorry for the trouble.

I've played other Spidweb games and I know there's ambient sounds, menu sounds, combat sounds... But this game get's completely mute when you start/load the game. The sound settings are fine: Volume normal, background on.
  3. I'm playing the steam edition and I have Vista 64bit. When I launch the game, I can hear the music. After creating the party, I've noticed that the music's volume was turned down while reading the prologue/intro. And then, when the game starts, no sound. No music. Nothing. If I return to the main menu, the sound returns but with a low volume. Trying to load my game or starting another one... No sound again. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

If you don't like the map design, it's because you don't like the map design, not because of anything to do with the iPad. I disagree. The iPad version wasn't an afterthought and the map design shows it (like indoors being mega huge, everything more spaced out, probably because it was necessary to use touch instead of a more little and accurate mouse cursor). Or it's all a coincidence.

  6. So far, I think it's Vogel's weakest game. Clearly "dumbed down" for the masses. But I guess I should have seen that coming the first minute I heard there would be an iPad port.
  7. I think you should remove that link, or are we supposed to have access to the hintbooks?
  8. I'm waiting for the Windows version, but I would like to underline the importance of the size of the text font in the game. It was a real deal breaker for me, with the last Geneforge. It was just really uncomfortable to play the game in my 22" monitor (I guess it's the standard size, nowadays). I hope Avadon will not have the same problem.
  9. Nice way start my early morning... I'll try this this evening after work.

  11. I wear glasses and I can read everything fine with them. Except this game's text. It forces my sight too much, to be comfortable. I don't like to have to be too close to a 22" monitor to be able to read. And I agree... Bright background and dark text makes a better contrast.

  13. Is there any way to change the font size? It's really hard to read that small font in my 22" monitor (1680X1050). Even if I reduce the resolution to 1024x768, the text is too small. Is there a way to fix that? It's the only thing preventing the purchase of the game. I'm noticing myself start to skip dialogues because of this problem!
  14. Ah, good news! I'm gonna try the demo today!
  15. Probably too late, I've signed up too. I'm a Vista user as well.
  16. Yes. And you can use the BTC, if you want.
  17. Hi. PMed you another email address. I have no idea why the email is bouncing. (!)

Older version that is slightly buggy and incorrect. Version I am working on, when it is actually complete. Send me the version that you feel it's better for sharing (probably, the one that you will keep updating). There's no problem if it's incomplete, you can always keep me updated as you progress in your work, and I'll keep updating it in the BoAC.

  20. Sure! Just send it with your author name and a small description to: boa.center (at) gmail (dot) com Take your time.
  21. I can host it too, in the BoAC. Just send it with a small description and your author name to: boa.center (at) gmail (dot) com
  22. I don't see how can I explain more directly. Did you do this: 1. Extract Alint.exe to the folder where your scripts are located. ? Alint.exe must be in the same directory where your script files are. Also, if the scripts have no error, nothing appears, so that's ok. Try introducing an error in your script and check again, just to see if alint detects it.
  23. Hummm... I forgot to say... After each "type" instruction, you should press the "Enter" key... Example: 3. Type "cmd", without the "", and press the Enter key.

Okay, so I've decided to try to work Alint. And I don't even know what a cmd.exe window is, not how to open one. Anyone feel like pointing me in the right direction? 1. Extract Alint.exe to the folder where your scripts are located. 2. Click "Run" in the "Start" menu. 3. Type "cmd", without the "". 4. Type "cd\", without the "". 5. Type: cd "c:\YourScriptFilesPath\", WITH the "". 6. Type "Alint -v yourscriptfile.txt", without the "". Example: alint -v t12draco.txt You can omit the -v parameter, or use others. Just type "alint" alone, to see available comands.
