  1. In about an hour, the limit time is over (in my country. A few more hours over there). I guess tomorrow would be ok to announce your scenario, Erik. And it would be nice if you could let me know, to announce (and host) it in my site too: webmaster@boa-center.cjb.net . edit: already noticed that your scenario is online. I'll announce it.
  2. *sigh* When will someone port it to PC? Unfortunately I know no programming...
  3. Who would be the judges? Btw, you can post that contest in my forum as well.
  4. I should get some more sleep. Where's "where2, it should be read "we're". About the size... That sample pic is 11KB big. We can always play with image size and compression quality... Or just use this in key moments. I have broadband internet, so size isn't really an issue to me, but I guess it can be for dial up modem users, for participating in the spidwebs contest (3MB maximum) or even hosting the file in the net... But let's see: to have 3MB of images like the above one, you would have to make around 273 pics! And I guess you don't really need to use pics with all dialogues... Another good point: you can use the font, the colours, etc you want.
  5. Why don't just just place the text in the picture, like in the tutorial? You could do something like this: (Don' look at typos, that just a small example quickly made to illustrate what I mean.)(loo=look; overwhelmned=overwhelmed)
  6. I don't know if anyone noticed this yet, but I've found what looks like a bug: When I place a signpost, when I try to click the OK button, the editor screens scrolls (as if I had clicked in the frame), even when I just mouseover the button. As a matter of fact, if my mouse hovers the frame, the window scrolls and starts placing signposts as if it was placing a road! The worse part is that the editor becomes unstable. When I try to quit, it freezes. I have to terminate (ctrl+alt+del) the program. Here\'s a screenshot. All those signposts appeared when I just tried to click the ok button, which is right above the scrolling frame, so there's no way I can click there without the window start scrolling, placing signposts in a row and then freezes when I try to quit. (If I leave the mouse still, working with only the keyboard, I can avoid the bug, but that's bad, as I really need the mouse) Is this only me? I tried in two different computers (WinXP and Win2000), and the bug always happens.
  7. There's also this place for scripts. All with descriptions, so that you may know what to download: BoA Center\'s Script Library All scripts uploaded are announced in the site, so that everyone will know your script. (Btw, check out the advanced mind duelist. An interesting script.)

So, my Mom says I can play Exile as long as I stay away from all magic, demons, or (for no logical reason to my knowledge) goblins. So I'm pretty much restricted to working with no-magic scenarios on the scenario editor and playing them. I don't know of a *good* scenario that I could play like this. Also, as you might have guessed, I have to use an all-fighter party, hence my last topic. Just some question: 1. It's okay to use fighter, as they only use their swords to cut to pieces their enemies? 2. There can't be any demons and globlins, but it's okay to kill other humans? 3. Why do they let you play a game where, sooner or later, you'll have to use violence (combat) and killing? 4. Or were you just joking with us?
  9. Surely that's the problem. Make sure each character's states are not repeated in othe character's states.
  10. Use Windows XP's compatibility mode.
  11. Quote: Originally written by Kelandon: Oh yes, and you need breaks after every state, as I've written in for these two states. Strange... I thought only nodes that have "code=" in them needed a break; command...

  13. Nice! (BTW, I've PMed you. Check it out, please )
  14. Humm... I'll edit the links (in my links section), to tell it's for PC and that it should be installed in the same directory as the editor (so that it finds the graphics folder).
  15. How's your scenario? Or still waiting for collaborators? One good point about collaborations, is that the collaborators can incentivate (sp?) eachother. Also can compensate eachother's weaknesses.
  16. This mistake was already pointed out in another thread. And you'll find more mistakes.
  17. I know. That's why I was asking if there was a way around this.
  18. What I was thinking is that the player should use the talk icon to talk with the NPC. And when he does it in a specific place or area, new talking nodes would appear. For example. I try to talk to the NPC and receie a message saying we do small talk. But when I try to talk to him inside a certain building, for example, then it would trigger a dialogue (stored in the town's dialogue script).
  19. Great! Only now I've noticed this topic! If you don't mind, I'm adding this to my links page. Do you have a website, or should I just direct link your files? (added to the site. I'm leaving now. In case you don't want me to post it there, or want be to post your website's address, tell me so and I'll modify it later, when I get back.)
  20. Isaac: Added your site to my site's links page. Hope you don't mind.
