Chittering Clawbug CAJUN
After I got to 40th level I wanted to soup up my magic. Typing in iamweak didn't work. What gives?Did jeff put a ceiling limit on cheats? No more cheating pass level 40?
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
iamweak has always had diminishing returns, as far as I know. A more reliable, although harder, way to cheat experience would be to script a dialogue option that gives you a set amount of exp.

Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
What game are you playing? There may already be a user-made editor that will let you increase your experience.

Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
What exactly is it you need, more spells or better spells? Either way, at least one of the character editors allow you to raise a specific stat. See the links in the Geneforge 4 strategy central thread. Chittering Clawbug CAJUN
I'm playing gene4...like I said in my 1st post,I want to up all my abilities,str.int.dex.Etc....... iamweak doesn't work after level 40..whats wrong? Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Just like monsters, the experience you get from "iamweak" goes down after each level, hence my saying that it has diminishing returns in my first post. If you want to increase you experience or alter your stats, please take Micawber's advice and look into an editor. Microphage did a really great job with this one. Chittering Clawbug CAJUN
Dude, thats like speaking german. My fooling with text files are on the ignorant side...I have no idea. This is my 3rd run thru,I was just wanting to try a few other spells.I guess I'll have to wing it. Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
I still don't really understand what you're trying do here. Intelligence does not make your spells better, nor give you access to new spells, it just gives you more spell energy (and essence).
Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
cheat engine comes to the rescue again,2/3 simple scans and you can find the skill point value and set it to 99999999 or something like that. Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
The game engine actually has maximum values. Setting a skill value beyond that tends to break things. Cajun - the only way to do what you want outside of just leveling up within the game is going to require script work. If you follow Microphages directions, it's really easy. You don't actually modify any scripts, just replace one copy with another.
Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
not skill points. I have experience with these things.
Chittering Clawbug CAJUN
I guess what I want is (iamweak)that way I can level up any time any where. That stopped at level 40.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
So since you can't have that, does that mean you're giving up on this idea, or do you want more help with the editor?

Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
yes. Open your game, make sure you have some skill points when u minimize it. Open cheat engine, click the computer icon in the upper left corner. Select your Geneforge game and double click it. In the value field, type your current number of skill points and click First scan. Many things will now appear in the adress/value field on the left. Go back to the game and spend a few skill points. Now type your new current number of skill points again and click next scan. A few things will now appear on the left address/Value field ,compared to the things that appeared on the first scan. If you are lucky, only one will appear. double click all of them (or one if you only got one) and they/it will show up below in the white part. Double click the number in the value field below for all of them/the one you got and change it to 99999 or something like that. You will now have 99999 skill points (or whatever u changed the value too) You can exit Cheat engine at this step if you wish.

Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
You could, like, explain what the cheat engine is and provide a link to it, instead of assuming that everyone in this thread knows what it is and where to get it? Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
lazypants, you just had to type cheat engine in your browser. but ok http://cheatengine.org/download/d2/CheatEngine61.exe If it get's detected as a virus, just add it to exeptions. It get's detected because it attaches itself to programs (games, that is) so u can cheat. Now just follow the guide in my other post above.
