Tenderfoot Thahd obliza
For example I put 8 Points in Firebolt. I put two points in Battle Specialization. (+2 on Firebolt) Does Firebolt do more damage? 8+2=10 Or is it capped at 8? Meaning the extra two points do nothing. Or do I just put 6 Points in and 2 Points in Battle Spec and it maxes? Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
It's not capped, getting the effective skill to 9 or even 10 gives a good bonus.
Tenderfoot Thahd obliza
Thankyou! Other things that make me wonder... Hitchance is universal? Crit Chance is universal? (No meele, magic difference) Are goldbars, gems, etc used for crafting or anything? 'Golden Runestone' makes all attacks do more damage So meele, missle, magic and all abilities? Critique. This game gives no hints as to whether or not anything is useful. It is really quite annoying, I don't get how it makes good gameplay because all it means is that you get to somewhere and they say 'If you have x,y,z then I will make you this item' and you think 'Oh..probably should not of vendored that.. Although I noticed Drake Skin has the information on it which I was glad about. Also 'Battle Frenzy' does not mean anything to me...is there a list somewhere for what all spells do? I once again don't see how it makes good gameplay for things to have no information on them.. For example, haste increased chance to get extra action points im guessing? So does battle frenzy? I have all these potions and without experimenting by using several of them over and over to see the different effects I can't tell which is better or useful. If it just said on the potion, or in the quite, or if I could pull up information on items... Also the skill system seems really 'random' There is no progression or synergy of the skills it seems. For example, Razordisk Ninja..has to level up meele abilities to become stronger? and vise versa. I'm all for synergy when it comes to abilities, it should make sense. All of the above is just my opinion on how the game can be better otherwise I love all these games.

Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Battle frenzy gives you extra action points, so you can act twice in a round. Haste merely gives you a chance of using fewer action points with your first action.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The skill trees aren't based on progression so much as unity of column. The left is your direct attacks, the middle is passive bonuses, and the right gives you mostly supporting abilities that buff, debuff, or summon. Razordisks require melee because there's nowhere else to put the skill. —Alorael, who believes runestones and criticals are indeed universal. Area attacks may not be affected, but single target attacks definitely are.
Fledgling Fyora ChuckV
However, I noticed that if I my Blademaster has 8 levels of Melee Training with a +2 from specializations, I still only have a 40% chance of damaging a second ennemy; Shouldn't that be 50% if the effective level of the skill is 10? Or does the % to hit a second enemy not get the bonus while the increase in damage does?
Fledgling Fyora r0K
I was wondering this too. I noticed after a couple retraining that bonuses from specialization don't seem to add, or at least not add as much to the % of special effects than real skill points. Ninja (huh, sorry, ninjas don't exist as everyones knows, i mean shadowalker) with 6 in blade training and 2 spec points in left column has 35% chance to poison it's target while it's 40% with 8 points and no spec, and still 40% with 8 points and 2 spec. Not sure how the math is done. Oh, and as it's my first post here : great game and i'm glad to see spiderweb survived that long. Exile 3 was the first game i ever played on a computer

Fledgling Fyora ChuckV
Well, after some retraining, I have established the following facts concerning the Melee Training skill: 1- Specialization levels count for the bonus damage (I tested up to 8+2). 2- Specialization levels do not count for the % to cleave, however... 3- Specialization levels "trigger" the level 3 effect of having a % to cleave, for example, if you have 2 levels of Melee Training +1 with specialization, you can cleave, but only at a 10% chance. I wonder if the skill is programmed like this on purpose.
