Tenderfoot Thahd Sub zero
Hi all. I already finished avernum 6 on tornment and starting singleton, i just wonder if it's possible to finish without cheats, i mean increase you nature lore, lockpiking, cos in the end its about 120+ ability point loss. Unflappable Drayk Zummi
doable if you can stomach not getting around 75% of the goodies.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
A certain level of those skills pays off eventually due to getting wisdom crystals and knowledge brew ingredients. So it's quite a bit less than 75% that you miss, more like 20%, unless you want to have those skill points available immediately.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It takes lots of patience to wait on raising nature lore and then go back to find all the caches you missed and I doubt you will ever increase it to 18 with items to get the last one. Lockpicking is easier since you can use tinker's crystals for the earlier doors and just wait on the traps. The real problem as Student of Trinity pointed out is the sharp increase in difficulty when you reach Formello and the high health slith defenders. I quit just before there on my first attempt and had just reached the Eastern Gallery on my second before I stopped to play newer games. Last night I restarted the game and saw how hard it is to get back to the grinding involved to slowly move through the game.
Rotghroth Rhapsody madrigan
I say just play with four characters. The companionship really helps on those long journeys across hostile wildernesses infested with freakish truck-sized monsters. It's a pain to have to summon a creature every time you need to complain to somebody.
Garrulous Glaahk Venom
Yeah, they never respond to me.
Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
If it helps, some of the freakish truck-sized monsters are quite capable of pleasant conversation. Though I don't recommend asking warped wolves to tea: they always end up breaking my fine china. Paws, you see.

Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
i never finished a single spiderweb game with out using a cheat, and i still have difficulty with playing the games, and i have it on the lowest difficulty level. I guess im just bad at these games.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Not necessarily. I don't think I've ever played through any Spiderweb game at least once without at least a little cheating at some point (usually to get healing/money). I tend to cheat a lot, mainly because I can.
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
I love dbug kill. I used to use it, but im afraid ill mess up the story line. so i only use it in small caverns. I just fight it out with the bosses. though everything got easier for me once i got major summoning, Charm, and icy rain.

That tends to happen once you start to get spells that do a good amount of damage; life gets easier for your characters. This is normally seen as a good thing.
