Well-Actually War Trall Balladeer
"The weapons Casper finds are pretty sad. You're almost worried you might catch Tetanus from some of them." You never specified how many there were. Need to keep my inventory straight. I'm thinking two since I didn't search the elf and the goblin got disintegrated. And if you think Tetanus will discourage Casper from keeping them, you are mistaken. Any knife is better than no knife when you're in a scrape. (Though I fully expect you to say something like When Casper pulls out a knife, it happens to be one of the ones he picked up off a thug. Being of such poor quality, it snaps in his hand and digs into his palm giving him Tetanus. (2 damage and poisoned) The next time I roll a one on an attack.) Anyway, with three response in, it looks like my prediction was accurate. Tuesday (16th), Thursday (18th), and Saturday (20th) look to be our best dates thusfar. It's also starting to look like Tuesday or Thursday sessions could become a regular thing. Tuesday in particular seems to be most regularly available, if both this calendar and the previous are any indication. So keep popping dates in the Calendar. It just may become a session every Tuesday. Originally Posted By: Aerat Barnes, Thane guard captain The southeast side of town is a no-man's-land, controlled predominantly by thugs and thieves. Well-Actually War Trall Balladeer
Oh, now I get it. Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
...gah. Really fell behind here. First thing's first, Log is up (and actually has been for a while). There are also quotes from the session: Click to reveal.. (Late quotes) "On the plus side, the wheel isn't on fire." - Iliau "Fortunately, I'm competent enough to cover for your lot's failings." - Xuan "Um... it seems more likely that we'll get hurt if we give you the sword." - Erika "Is someone about to come and kill or maim us?" - Harosh "Why are crazy people always so squirmy?" - Casper Next order of business: The next session is Tuesday the 13th at 7:00 PM EDT (6:00 PM CDT). Hopefully this timezone thing starts straightening out somewhat. I also find it funny that this is once again happening on a Tuesday. Okay, another thing I promised? Perks! Casper: Spirited Throw There's still some of that old knife-throwing skill left in you, when you choose to concentrate. When spending stamina on a knife throw, you gain a slight damage bonus, and are more likely to pierce any unusual defenses an opponent may have. Erika: Stealthy Aggressor Your uncanny abilities with stealth make you a dangerous foe, if you can catch your opponent off-guard. When you catch an enemy unaware, you can choose to use Stealth as your weapon skill for one melee attack. I'm still on the fence about other perks, and want to hold off until I'm sure they're a good fit. Also, Xuan and Erika still need to level their characters. Which brings me to my next point. I'm hereby ruling that if a character earns a level, but the player DOES NOT take the time to level their character prior to the beginning of the next session, that level is LOST. Harsh? Yes. But it's the player's responsibility to check in and level their character, which takes a grand total of 5 minutes. This rule will take effect after the upcoming session, so everyone can still go up to level 4. Also, the map has been updated with two new locations. Phew. Well, see you guys at the next session! It should be good! Originally Posted By: Yealto, Historian The Garth-Torres Feud? Yes, I know of it. Naturally, the Garth family was not thrilled with this development, but the salt on the wound came when a messenger from the Torres family in Niskos arrived, claiming that the Baron's ship had attacked a merchant ship unprovoked, and that the merchant demanded restitution for the incident. The Garths responded by trying to place an embargo on Niskos until the Torres turned over the offending merchant and paid a sum for the loss of the Baron, the ship, and the valuables aboard. This failed rather miserably, and ever since, it's been a long and bloody history of skirmishes, sea battles, and general competition between the two port cities.
