Anybody else think about this? You can just waltz in to the any random high-up shaper council member's office with a pair of ur-drakons/drayks/eyebeasts and they dont give a ----? I mean, seriously! They dont care that we have some of the strongest Barred creations following us around?

Yes, it's odd. It's odd in a lot of ways, though. You can lead your happy band of drayks and drakons into Shaper strongholds, where they are illegal, or into rebel strongholds, where you are effectively showing yourself to be a heartless slaver who ignores the rights of sapient creations.

 

The only decent handwave, and it's a big one, is to rely on the difference between temporary and permanent creations and say that since yours are the former they don't actually have real minds of their own or independence and thus don't bother anyone.

I go with this is war so it's allowed even by Shapers that would like to absorb your essence for violating the laws.

Perhaps the Shapers imagine that you have successfully dominated some rebel creations, and the rebels imagine that some rather dull-witted creations have decided to serve you voluntarily. Or at any rate they give you the benefit of the doubt since, as has been mentioned, you have six Drakons behind you.

I actually do like Alorael's explanations (both).

 

It does seem that you're creations are temporary, seeing as how many permanent creations are created either via shaping platforms or vats.

shaping platforms are just used because they are easier to clean. It says so in one of the geneforges. But people probably don't care because like many people have said, would u mess with some one with those kind of creation?

But they're Barred, which means they cannot be used for any of the reasons listed somewhere in G1, which SPECIFICALLY includes creating for scientific research.
In fact, even Rawal doesn't have the authority to create Barred creations, that's why he keeps it all secret.
