Garrulous Glaahk MrRoivas
I can't find him anywhere in Grindstone. There is no one besides the mercenary leader and the mine owner there.
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
I believe the person you're looking for is one of the actual miners. Look in the mine, and you should find someone named Santo. (Hitting Tab helps, and saves time talking to boring, average miners)
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
I missed him too, the first time through. Just make sure you really have seen everything and everyone in the mine. Un/fortunately he never moves around. Dikiyoba.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You only see him from certain positions because of the way the tunnels bend. He is really easy to miss.

Articulate Vlish Aldin
I suspect (having scoured Grindstone's mine) that Stanos is missing in the demo. I simply cannot find him, tab key or no tab key. When I get my registration key from Jeff I'll post again to this thread to confirm if he suddenly shows up. ~Aldin

Curious Artila Pheonix of the Blue Flame
He is in the demo. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and checked. Here's a custom shot of WHERE in the mine he is.. EDIT: ...and btw... it's STANOS, not SANTOS ... and now I got Mintos stuck in my head... ...waaay too late to be fudgin with script codes... EDIT2: ....Darn, love how people post at the exact same time... and here I spent 1 min doin the screenshot..
Articulate Vlish Aldin
Hmmm, that's unfortunate, because that looked like a likely niche to me and I know I've searched it at least five times. I'll have to check yet again, but I have little hope. Without spoiling, how important is this quest in the overall scheme of things? Is it worth restarting a game where he might exist? (I'm at the demo limit right now) ~Aldin
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
It's fairly unimportant. Completing it allows you to do another equally unimportant quest later in the game.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The only point is to gain experience. Otherwise there is no real treasure until the second quest in that series. Most people have some qualms about doing it (see Moral Dilemmas).
Articulate Vlish Aldin
Just to confirm Pheonix' comment, after I registered he did NOT magically appear. No idea why he was absent. Ah well, minor speed bump in an otherwise great game. ~Aldin
