I have progressed to the Hall of Jars in G1 and have had to pass up many locked doors because of a lack of enough mechanics skill. How much should I be striving for? I'm playing as a shaper.

Speaking of selling things. . . I'm in the early stages of G1 and cannot figure out how to sell the random stuff I've accumulated. When I talk to a merchant, I get only a buy button. What am I missing?

On my first play through of Avadon 2, I went the gung-ho soldier, Pact/Avadon supporter route and ended up as Keeper. For the second go, I decided to try the rebel route. . . whine a lot, do what had to be done but try to get as much loot as possible, express sympathy for the rebels, etc. But when the moment came to actually throw in with the rebels, "I" just couldn't do it. There was too much water under the bridge, too many relationships had been formed that it just didn't feel true to the character. It was as though she still sympathized with the rebels, but also saw the value of a united Pact that also had flaws that needed correction.

So, I still haven't seen what happens when she goes over to the dark side . . . lol Guess I'll have to go for #3!

I'm nearing the final battle of the game. . . Redbeard is in Foresight and has sent me to Nolus to kill Dheless. I chose the dialogue route that got me thrown into a dungeon and have successfully killed all the shades and summoners down there. Now I can't seem to find my way out. . . I'm sure it's something obvious, but clearly I need help! Thanks!

I am working on the Chosen of Serdica's quest to get rid of the grave robbers near the temple of Aetius. Cleared out the tower on the east and killed the mage upstairs. Went next door and killed all the archers in that building, but there's a locked gate and more to the building. Is there a way to get through the locked gate, or am I finished here?

A few weeks ago, I killed the ogres and hellhounds in Rockfall Canyon at the scorched battleground. . . where the 3 dead hands are. At that time, I found a token of honor . . . a tattered flag. . . that enabled me to get more training in Avadon. I am now replaying the game and just killed these creatures again. . . but this time, there's no token of honor anywhere on the scorched battleground or bodies. Any idea what the problem is?

Well, I saw a post that referred to something like this, and it's one of the things I've tried unsuccessfully to figure out. From the area with the infernal, there is one passage due east, one southeast and one due south. I tried them all and was either boxed in or immediately overtaken by the dragon. I am clearly not understanding what to do. . .

I find that I'm quite the whiner tonight. . . Now I am at the part where the main character is trapped inside Vardegras the dragon's lair while he negotiates with Miranda. I've made it to the area with the bound infernal and have killed all the other critters that have appeared, but have no idea what to do next. I heard V and M arguing about the "pest in the lair" and assume that M is coming after me, but where and how and what do I do? I've found a post that makes reference to fighting the infernal, but that hasn't gone well at all. I could really use some help! Thanks!

I have walked through these areas countless times already without finding any hint of hidden switches. Sigh. . . very frustrating.

OK. . . in the area below what? And how do I get to it?

I'm having trouble finding a way to look under Councillor Philana's house for the noise she says she hears. I assume this is related to getting the tools for Laira, too. I have read posts about tools for Callan, but I haven't gotten that quest from her. Maybe I've mixed them up so they can't be done? The Commander just keeps saying the tools aren't Laira's, and she can't have them. Tips?

My problem is that I can't get to the stone circle. It's marked on the map, but there's a gate blocking the entrance to the area.

I'm having difficulty with this same quest. . . I have the trapped lair marked on my map, but can't see how to get to the drake. I'm likely missing something really obvious and simple.

So does all this mean that if your main character stays true and loyal to the Pact and declines these self-serving side quests, they will all desert you at the end?

I saw that obelisk.. . when I opted to touch it, a seemingly endless parade of skeletons appeared and reappeared. Is this the puzzle you're talking about?

Well, I've gone as far east as I can find openings. . . there's a barred gate in the east, but I haven't been able to get through it.
