  1. The minor makes me wonder if we should expect the Dikiscripts to start again?
  2. If it was a Catastrophy, then why didnt a horde of vicous, angry cats come out of the portal? Oh hey, its my 500th post.

The pistol in the left hand would almost never ever hit, and the detracted accuracy in the right would mean that you'd be using up twice the bullets and hitting at less than your original rate. Grrr. I feel your pain. I almost never dual-wield in games. It has been used in real life before though, but the off-hand weapon would usually be something small, like a dagger. Anything bigger is just impractical, and without a ridiculous amount of training, your going to likely end up cutting yourself. The only time you really see actual dual-wielding these days is on crappy movies and video games. And that most terrible of evils, manga. -shudder-

Or she could just do the obvious and throw them at Rikkla's face.

  7. Aww... No more buzzsaw party for me. I feel depressed now.
  8. Eph, I could hug you for getting the log out so quickly. Yay for the cat finally being let out of the bag.

Wonder when the log comes out.
  10. Doesnt sound strange to me, but i've had severe insomnia for over 8 years now. If you start going without sleep long enough to start hallucinating, then its serious.

  12. Maybe the A6 portal just wasnt designed as well, and they had to use more crystals to keep it stable. If it had been as powerful as the Empire Portal was, then I doubt Avernum would have taken so long to evacuate. Avernum wasnt as overpopulated in A6 as it was in the earlier games (I think). Remember, about half of Avernum moves to the surface after A3.
  13. I always thought the Empire Portal was bigger and stronger than the Portal in A6, mostly due to the fact that the Empire Portal was created to transport the imperial army, not tourists, Avernites leaving to the surface, and traders, which is what the A6 portal was created for.

His were my favorite scenarios, partly due to the length of them, and partly due to having a plot that didnt make me bang my head against the wall.
  16. I personally prefer the Avernum engine, but I hate the fact that there's no more bashing weapons or dual-wielding, along with only having 4 PC's instead of 6, and a lot less spells.

  18. Oh yay, log. I would be more excited if I wasnt getting a HTTP 404 Not Found error from the link. Edit: Nevermind, its working now.

Dont forget, he may be "some wimpy King", but he's a wimpy king who controls all of Avernum. That includes the army.
  20. Thats actually why I played a all slith party the first time I played A6, I was hoping I could join the Horde and destroy Avernum. After all, you could become a Darkside loyalist in A5, so why not betray Avernum by joining the Horde? I was a bit dissapointed when I was unable to do so.

  22. Well, it is the best one that has been posted so far. The only other ones were all of Avernum being destroyed, being taken over in a unrealistic fashion, or a crossover.

Maybe giving out the horde of food you will have by the endgame would get you some allies. Besides, food sucks in Avernum. Go to the surface and take over the avernite colony up there. At least then you would get good food.
