But that image has been in my files for like, over a year. I have seen it every time I need to use an image while searching through them.

In my downloads, there should by a file named, "I like bananas. Bananas are good." That has my tenth doctor avatar. You know? The one that looks like he's staring at your face because something is on it? The one that ADoS Hates? ((Partially the reason I'm using it again.)) However, lately, this image plus a few others I have tried to find are no longer in my downloads file. Is there any reason that my downloads are deleting with out me telling them to? I have used my computers search feature and it came up with nothing. Is there any way I can find out what is doing this and stop it from happening again?

There is no exact linage. You can actually play the second, fourth, sixth, fifth, and third in that order with only slight confusion. BoA does not fit directly into the saga. It's a game where you can write scenarios around the Avernum world. If you wanted least confusion, you should probably want to play it first to last. Won't make much difference though.
