    White backgrounds?

This is just a hunch, but you might try adjusting the monitor resolution at various levels and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, try reinstalling the software.

    White backgrounds?

I'm not sure I understand. What platform are you on? Is this a recurring problem? Could you put up a screenshot of the problem?
  3. Quote: You forget that Terella is unlikely to have been annointed by the Avernum crown to use such ultra-secret technology. I do not forget a thing. She was working for Avernum and I would hardly call the teleporter ultra-secret as it seems there are plenty of agents from Avernum who use it. I just assumed being one of Avernum's agents with an important mission to watch the Giants, she would be allowed to use it.
  4. I believe the Vahnatai Myrmidons have a chance of dropping a fine waveblade also. I seem to remember find one early on also.
  5. Is that the one assigned in Dharmon for Dharmon? If so, take the stairs upward in the southwest part of town. Enter all the homes and talk to all the people inside. One of them is that person.
  6. Jeff has a twisted sense of humor. What would be worse if he gave you a quest that involved you getting to the center of Erika's Tower in A3.
  7. That and Jeff did not fully contemplate all the angles of the cansiter story at the time he wrote GF1.
  8. Other than writing a script and executing it just before starting the game, I do not think so. Sorry.
  9. I take it you know about the priest spell location. Cast that periodically to get the current PC coordinates Remember 0,0 is the top left-hand corner of the map. Go into combat mode hasted and blessed and move around that way. See if you can make any progress.

No, I found it. Just assumed pylons to Fort Monastery and then south would be a lot less treacherous than the trek through Slith lands and Nicoduas' tunnel.
  11. You might want to invest a little more skill in Endurance if lightning spray is killing you off. Of course any energy resistant items you can find is a plus.

  13. It depends on how much the Pylon is an annoyance to you. If it's the thing that debilitates you, focus on it. If it is Hickris that is killing you, focus on him. Again, I don't have your party in front of me so it's really hard to say which one would be "better" because it depends on skills and equipment.

  15. I always assumed she used the Pylons, but of course I could have missed that part.
  16. The strategy I used is to keep my party as spread out as possible so that Lightning Spray does not kill you right off. I have one fighter go in and take on Hickris while the others offer support. And exact strategy depends on the dynamics of your party.

  18. Go northwest of Grindstone and you should find a stairway by the river.
  19. 1) Turn up the brightness on your monitor. 2) Go to the second level. 3) Go to the temple in the southern part and head north 4) You should be able to see the lever with the brightness turned up
  20. Solberg is a lot older than he was in A2. The guy can barely stand and see now.
  21. Talk to Solberg in Patrick's Tower. Kill the demon beneath the tower and you will get the quest for Demonslayer.
  22. Quote: It's all normal. I've come to the conclusion I was looking for really then: The game is unbeatable until you register. Thanks for telling us beforehand...
  23. If leaving the town is the worry, a possible compromise is to the exiting town situation is just to call the relevant node in the EXIT_STATE if the party leaves before the timer runs out. Also, do not forget that combat mode allows increased mobility.
