  1. Try shutting down every un-needed programs running and try again. There might be a program that is the cause of this. Personally I haven't experienced this with A4 though I have had this problems with other games.
  2. You can press T which makes the game display all recent texts again in the lower left corner
  3. If a resolution is hard coded to a game it can't be changed so the options are either to try to play in 1024x768@60hz or buy a new monitor.

You just have to use skill points to max it out. I'll see if I can fix it but I don't promise anything EDIT: I am so stupid. I forgot that everything begins from 0 in computers. That's why the strenght didn't max out. Stupid me...anyway, it's fixed and new version uploaded. Use the link I provided earlier.
  5. Hawk King, I hope you don't mind but I made my own version of your script. If you want that I don't distribute this script then just say and I'll take it down Hawk King. Here's a link to it: RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS! It works with a couple of bugs. Talk to the Battle Alpha or whatever the creature is in Testing Grounds and you should get your stats maxed. EDIT: you also get some exp. And if this script somehow manages to burn/stab/kick/kill/destroy your computer etc. it's not my fault

  8. I'm trying to have a NPC to leave the scenario completely (aka dissappear...die...whatever..I just need him to go away ) after one conversation between the party and the NPC. How can I achieve this?
  9. Try updating your graphics card drivers. It might fix the problem with the green lines
  10. And this bug has propably found it's way to windows version - none of the outdoor signs work for me with my Windows XP....

  13. Quote: Originally written by crowsfein18: Really, why would anybody order Homeland? 'Cause they are one of the few ones that find Homeland to be playable? Yeah, I know I just used Avernum as an example to show that you are wrong on the OS thing
  14. Quote: Originally written by crowsfein18: I doubt Homeland does though. Really, go to the Spiderweb Software main page, go to our games, and look at the Homeland section, it says it requires one of the earlier forms of Windows. Im sure his problem is that he's running it on XP. I wonder, how many people have actually ordered Homeland? Quote: Homeland: The Stone of Night is available on CD-ROM. It requires a PC or 100% compatible running Windows 95/98/NT Look carefully...see that NT there? And now, guess what XP is? Yeah, that's right, NT 5.1 And if we're continuing this talk it looks like XP users can't play Avernum either if we use your theory
  15. Quote: Originally written by crowsfein18: You actually ordered that game? Wow. Well, Im not exactly sure, but I think some of the older Spiderweb games dont always work that well, or hardly at all, on Windows XP. Not true. The old games work perfectly on XP, at least for me. Antra: Have you patched the game? It might help..
  16. I stayed loyal for first time. When I played GF for second time I joined the takers. Didn't join awakened but I did destroy them

  20. Is it possible to have two different conditions for a dialog? Example: state = 2; nextstate = 3; condition1 = get_flag(3,3) == 0; condition2 = get_flag(4,4) == 0; Can that be achieved?
  21. Looks like Win95 can't run BoA because the name of the exe is too long...make the name shorter like boa.exe and see if it helps
