  1. try setting your desktop color to 16-bit and see if it works. If it wont, try to redownload it and reinstall it.....

  11. in Geneforge folder there is Data folder. Inside the data folder there is GFPrefs file; delete it and you can use the codes again; but if you have registered version this will un-register it; contact Jeff then for new key

  15. what DirectX version are you using? It is known that DirectX 9.0a has got problems to work with "old" games; so if you have DirectX 9.0a I would suggest you to install DirectX 8.1
  16. Zephyr: That all is happening becose your computer is full of junk! Clean un-needed registery keys; that should speed up a bit. And as Wiseman said: format your computer!
  17. Geneforge aint two years old and I would suggest you to get 44.03; I remember that I too had problems with Geneforge with one of the 4x.xx series of drivers from nVidia; 44.03 works perfectly and they should give some performance boost also to your computer
  18. first, check that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date. If not get the newest one's from nVidia. what DirectX version are you using?

  21. Have you installed any new programs? They might be the source of your problems But I would succest you to reinstalling the game and see if it works

  23. well there are several steps that you could try to fix the problem: 1. Update your sound card drivers 2. Get the newest DirectX version also I suggest testing DirectSound in dxdiag (start - run - type "dxdiag" - sound - Test DirectSound)
  24. well dont worry; it happens to all of us sometime Maybe we should start training to increase your thinking so that we would avoid these kind of mistakes that happen becose we dont think hard enough
