  1. Bump. Sorry for the double post, but I need help and I need people to see it.

  3. Why, when, and where did Richardiscool get banned? EDIT: Oh dear. I got it. Not good. Is it a permaban or just a warning ban? Anyway, I have a scripting question. Does anyone have a list of all the abilities and their numbers? i.e. reaper baton ability is 58 (in GF1)
  4. I'm afraid that is the place. When thinking about the moral implications of Spiderweb games, it can become difficult to play. If you want to help the GIFTS, then you must continue.
  5. When I register demos, I usually make a new party and improve its stats a little if it's my first time through the game and then I replay hard-core style. For my singletons, I give them unlimited gold, even. You're still playing, just tweaking-style to help you out as you go along. There's nothing wrong with cheating. It can lead to a very relaxing but still interesing game. And that's what games are all about: relaxation. It doesn't matter how you achieve your relaxation.
  6. Isn't the Emerald Chestguard an A4 artifact?
  7. You wouldn't happen to be using the character editor to up your stats would you? It seems very difficult to kill Bel without cheating.
  8. Actually, it's battery recently exploded (pried itself open due to heat) even though it isn't a recall model. Even with the new battery, it gets incredibly hot incredibly fast. I will be back in America really soon to try and fix it, for there may be a real problem. There aren't many good Apple specialists in Paris. Luckily, this isn't my home computer, and it may be covered by BYU for their faulty program computer that is only 10.0. They probably won't ever replace it, sadly. What I mean is, I had to use the Intel laptop because of their dumb computer. Topic change: it is shifting to the laptop now.
  9. I don't use windows, but try running it in compatibility mode. That can help with weird problems sometimes.
  10. I believe the only really simple way would be to change the get_reward of an easy quest you're working on. Add something like the ability-giving scripts in the canister area. I don't know the specific thing, just search the scripts for the canister area.
  11. If you meant to say fourth island, than you need to get two crystals in the Shaping Vats area and another one near it (forgot name, sorry). If not, then the area name is needed. Or have you just never gotten into those shaping caves below the major fort?
  12. Ah well. That's ok. I will be back to my more modern 10.4 computer at home in four days, so I need not worry. I was just hoping to play it before then. But thanks for the help!
  13. Tried. Failed. Apparently, it's not an extension because the error still occured.
  14. I'm afraid so. Classic seems not to work on this computer. When I launch it, an error dialog comes up that says that the application HotBurn AutoLaunch failed to launch because of a shared library error. I tried with sharing on and off with no effect. I've tried everything I can think of with these limited resources.
  15. Because of my hideous computer you may have heard about, N:R doesn't work in any way shape or form. It is Mac OS 10.0.4 (Build 4Q12) Memory 256 MB (everything is sorted out with memory. I really have something like one gig virtual memory.) Processer Power PC G3. Neither the normal nor the older mac version work. I downloaded it on a good computer and mounted it to a flash drive to put it on the only computer I can always use. The good one is Intel and needs to rest it's processers a lot and recently had serious battery problems, ergo, I can't really play N:R on it and must use this horrible, bug-infested, digitally moldy computer. Is there any way on Earth to fix this hideous bug?!?!
  16. Ohhh... I guess I got slightly confused. Thanks for the help and info.
  17. No, no. I think there is another abbyss somewhere in that dungeon. I tried jumping it, but my Celts all died. I haven't yet gotten there with my Roman due to freaky computer problems. I can't look it up right now, but I will tell you when I can. Anyone know what I'm talking about? P.S. Thanks for the help! I started a new Roman that was much better. He's doing fine. Some more info: I seem to recall a fomorian on a ledge in the same place. If you try to, you get the option to jump in to an abyss in the same cave/room. I am pretty sure that there is nothing down there, since you can't see anything, but it is worth checking.
  18. Hmmm. Tough question. In terms of world size, of course not, because as with the beloved older engines, you can hold down the mouse button to travel the world at high speed. In terms of quests, I would think there might be a bit less or a bit more that A4. In terms of play time, for me, much more. I have grown very meticulous, always wanting to complete EVERY quest. If you aren't like that, than a bit less because of outdoor travel time. If you want ultra-specific answers, maybe Synergy or some other powergamer will have compiled a list. Although that seems like a slight waste of time to me.
  19. What random encounters? I don't recall any 'random' encounters in or around the Golem Factory.
  20. About the rod of safe descent-- In the first Celt dungeon, what is at the bottom of the abyss in the deep pits?
  21. Heh. I guess I don't have very much magic skill right now but I'll have to start working Kirian a bit harder. I'm pretty much set for roman training and the like. Well, here goes nothing...<loads game>
  22. They have to die? How sad! I love that community! It is a perfect example of one of the reasons why I have a passionate love of creations. VERY passionate. They are treated so poorly. I hope I get to see more intelligent creations that can talk and tell you of their daily troubles. I love creations.
