  1. I'm not really sure what there is to add about ticks. I usually use variables for timers, so the only thing they're important for is the way they effect lighting. Is there anything in particular that you want to do?
  2. I just started playing A2 the other day, for the first time. I didn't have many problems with the nephil fort (on torment), although I did do the bandits beneath Fort Draco first, to gain a level and buy arrows for my archers. If you enter the fort from the back, haste/bless/shield before you kick down any doors, and keep healing throughout the fight, you shouldn't have problems. There isn't much else to do to prepare yourself for the fort, its pretty much the first dungeon. The bandits beneath Fort Draco are a good option, and there are random outdoor encounters with goblins and crap that can give you some experience. Not much else that I can think of.
  3. The mac downloads for those scenarios also appear broken. The mac download for FB is busted too, now that you mention it.
  4. I've seen the two used interchangeably. Hell, the definition of it_charges reads "the number of uses it has"
  5. Yes, but if it doesn't have charges, then a stack of 100 items would be the same as a single item. What I'm getting at is that you have to have charges for an item to stack. If you were stacking items without charges, the result would be one single item, still with no charges. You'd just be deleting the extra items. I understand that food and gems and such will stack, but these still have charges (even if they don't have an ability that can use them up.)
  6. How can something stack without having any uses? If you wanted that, just make a script to delete any duplicates that the party picks up.
  7. I can judge if needed. I'd prefer to have more people without entries, but we'll see.
  8. Frostbite BoA Small (10 Towns) Tales From the Tabard Inn BoA Large (33 Towns) Both can be found at the Blades Forge, or SV, or my own site.
  9. I would like if it would stop crashing Blades. Has that been sorted out in the year since my lat beta report?
  10. It would take some getting used to, but it would probably be useful once you did. Can I suggest that you make the viewport follow the object you're moving, if it goes off the screen? That way you wouldn't have to keep switching between holding option to move the creature and not holding it to move the view.
  11. If you don't lose any of your joined allies during the scenario (the larger fights like the totems/wargs excluded I believe) then when you get to Amon Sul the sword in the room full of 'drained items' is replaced with the Defender's Blade. It's the best sword in the scenario.
  12. I'd advise checking int or dext for lockpicking; do monsters even get tool use?
  13. Agreed. Not expecting it to happen, and not interested even if it should.
  14. I've gotten the ToM sequence legitimately in E3, but never A3. I seem to remember even getting it in the E3 demo-- yeah, I spent a LOT of time on E3 back in the day.
  15. Sorry for the inconvenience; glad it didn't keep you from coming back for more. And as Nioca said, I don't play so rough with your party in the Tales, and won't in the future either.
  16. In BoA, a weapon has a bonus and a die size. A weapon description would read something like: "Does 4-16 plus 1-4 per point of strength/weapon skill" where 1-4 would be the die size, and 4-16 would be the bonus damage (4 extra dice.) Presumably it works the same way in the trilogy, but the die size isn't stated explicitly. So when it says "Weapon does 4-16" it is implied that the bonus is 4, and the die size is d4.
  17. It would be easy enough to add to one scenario, but near impossible to add to the game itself. I'm not really sure I like the idea of being able to do it in just 1 scenario; the idea of people entering a scenario with herbs they got elsewhere just to brew up a bunch of skill points doesn't sit so well with me. Of course if it was a scenario where you don't take the party elsewhere afterwards, then that would be fine.
  18. Um... Is there any reason you revived this thread? And is there any reason that you repeatedly answer people's questions by saying "use the editor" when it has been made clear that cheating ISN'T the answer people are looking for?
  19. If I recall correctly, it involves not going to sleep the last night, right before the end.
  20. You can get the coordinates by looking at the scenario in the editor. Besides that I don't have much to add; I tried my best to explain the puzzle on my webpage, and I don't think I'll be able to explain it any better two years after I made it. Hope you get it figured out.
  21. Or you could just ignore this and play the scenario. This is turning into a bigger hassle for you than it was meant to be. Sorry.
  22. Don't look in the readme folder, those aren't even looked at by the game. They're just there for backups for windows users. I was talking about getting G904 from the CMG, and pasting it into the game graphics file in your BoA Data file.
  23. That zip file just has default graphics, it's for windows users to restore the originals after they mess them up with the custom ones. You can just ignore it. You'll find the G904 that i'm talking about in the CMG file, along with the other custom graphics. I'm not really sure how these things work on Mac, but I assume you can just open it up and see the graphics in it. Edit: This is what you're looking for. If you can't find it in the CMG, just copy this into the data file like I told you earlier.
  24. You can select the portrait for your PC from the same screen where you select the appearance graphic (It's the box on the right). You probably didn't realise this because your portrait is blank right now and you didn't realise what that box is for. If that's not the issue, and the graphics aren't showing up when you scroll through the available portraits, then for some reason the portrait sheet in the CMG didn't work right. The portraits are in G904, copy them manually from the scenario file to the "Game Graphics" folder in the data folder.
  25. Well yeah-- I wasn't suggesting you just dump them on the floor and leave them there.
