I was really irritated by that retcon -- it's a big shift even if on a minor point, and Thrackerzod in general seems very incongruent with the game world.  (It's also just weird that the serviles freak out so much about both the PC and Goettsch, but have zero interest in Thrackerzod's crew of multiple shapers at all.)  Either it was a kickstarter backer insertion that was poorly vetted, or it was a moment of Avernum 4 syndrome.

Tbh I did thought about this as I had not been able to back the create-a-quest tier reward. But if I could, I probably would have the shaper taking a quest from a spirit of a priest/chieftain to hunt down elemental spirits that were summoned out of desperation by a tribe that the proto-shapers went to war with; while they succeed in repelling the proto-shapers; but they lost control of them and eventually had to make great sacrifices to seal them off, while they were in no condition at the time to properly dispose of them. perhaps the spirit can be placed in the stone circle center tomb and will only appear after you defeated the specters surrounding the tomb

  2. I have asked Jeff regarding adding new weapon types for future releases and here's what he said

"Anything is possible. It would take a major graphics revision, which we're thinking about, but it would take time.

The important thing is: Why? It would be a cosmetic change, sure. But I need to ask: What would this new melee weapon do? What does it add to the game that is already there?

Geneforge 2 has a lot more variety in terms of the sorts of weapons you find and how they are improved. They're still swords, but there are some swords with far more unique effects. You might find something much closer to what you want."

  3. Ok so apparently in the livestream, Jeff confirmed that the Kyshakk, the wingbolt and the war trall will only appear in the G4 remake from there on, so in other words we won't see them early in the G3 remake. Along with the fact that Geneforge was supposed to be a 6 game series but by the time he worked on G5 he felt like the series should end there so G6 was dead at that point

I have the same problem I had with GF1:M. The window of the page doesn't align with the screen and it cuts most of it. How can I fix it, please?

EDIT: Managed! It simply was a matter (for me) of playing a bit with the options and restarting the game.

Love what I see so far.

Anyone knows how to deal with the scuttlebugs?

For the scuttlebugs you can just attack them without repercussions
