  1. I've started as well, and I love the health regen system. It didn't make a game harder having to leave dungeon, run back to town, it just made it more tedious. I don't care much for the graphics, it seems like nothing pops, everything kind of blends in and together, but it's fine. I do wish that there were more character models, or at least colors. Probably the same issue with the graphics, especially on the shadowwalker, it's hard to make out any details in his model, just looks grey.
  2. This is bothering me so much, in every spidweb game I've always tried to make the 1st PC the "main" guy and try to level him up first. In Exile I always tried to get killing blows with him (which I think gave you more exp). Thought I was doing something wrong, but thanks for the clarification ^.
  3. Same problems with thumbnails. Excited to finally play a game in a new world. Just started playing through A3 for the first time, going to be hard to stop right in the middle to play Avadon though.
  4. Oh man...just checked the Games page and saw the icon under Windows...elation until I clicked on it and nothing. What a tease.
  5. Best news I've heard all week. Maybe your response will quell the incoming onslaught of hate at the OP.
  6. Haha I remember that game...I remember loving the demo, but never bought it. Guess I made a good choice.
  7. Yes...how difficult is it to install/dual boot whatever Mac onto a PC? Gonna be hard waiting another few months after first release.
  8. Yes...I agree. Exile 3 is still my favorite game.

I despised the Avernum games because of the open world, world map seamless whatever you want to call it. It just felt insular and closed off...I don't know how to describe it, just not that fun. I've had plenty of time to get used to it but never have.
  11. Games: Yes Forums: Oh God No
  12. Bargha shouldn't turn hostile by doing that quest. I just did it about an hour ago and I also thought that the outcome would be different, but it turns out they have no idea what happened. At least that was my experience. I don't know what the gate in the back of the prison is for though.
  13. I suppose to summarize the thread, people with Macs say you are horribly impatient, and people with Windows can't wait. I can't wait.

I have 16 Leadership (with items), but I have no dialogue option that doesn't lead to a fight against the Synthesis Mind. I milked the dialogue tree a couple of times, I talked to the Alpha Mind first, reloaded, talked to the Synthesis Mind first - no go. I ask every question I can and then the only option is to tell it that Alwan sent me to fix things, which makes the mind angry and it challenges me. I already fought it once, but without going through the dialogue. I just attacked it and killed it. The other minds became hostile and I had to kill them as well. The result was one botched quest and one angry Alwan. Advice is appreciated. I'd especially like to know why I can't get the diplomatic dialogue option. I did this recently. First thing I did was talk to all the servant minds. Then talk to Synthesis mind, do NOT fight him now. After you go through all his dialogue, go back and talk to the Alpha one (first one) and ask for help. His help will be his creations defending him. The hard part is keep alive the servant minds that the creations attack. The beta and gamma will die almost assuredly, but you have to defend the last one, alpha. He has some guys helping him, but there are rots and patchwerks that will wreck him. It took me a damn long time to do it right. The synthesis mind after taking some damage will give a prompt, and his HP is reduced to 200 and will be killed by damage from the other minds. Then defend the last mind, or leave as fast as you can before he dies if you can't handle the enemy, cause if they all die then you fail and Alwan isn't interested in you
  15. How is this a cheat? Changing difficulty is changing difficulty...it affects nothing except you knowing that you had to help yourself through a difficult area of the game that you may of otherwise not of finished.
  16. I have a question or two. I'm just at level 19/20 I think and am using plated clawbugs, plated artilla and a corrupted thahd if i need one. I sort of sneaked my way into the secret lab (nowhere near that in story I think?) and learned create battle alpha. Is there a reason to use an alpha instead of a plated clawbug? There is a 50hp or so difference, but the clawbug has 10ap and can attack twice in one turn, and damage is about same. So should I just stick with the bugs or use alphas?
  17. Can't seem to find the colors I have. Just the base default skins for the characters. Guess all hope is lost then huh
  18. Is there ANYWAY to change the color of your model? What I mean is at creation you have 8 or however many colors to choose from (they all look horrible on most of the classes save for a couple), and I, naturally chose blue for my shaper. I've realized the error of my ways, but I've already started over too many times. So is there some file I can edit to change back to the default color of my Shaper? As a sidenote why are the alternate colors so ugly and abrasive compared to the perfect look of the default ones?
  19. Ok, that helps a lot, thanks. Also, is there a guide somehwere for crafting? I see the one that goes into artifacts etc., but I'm interested in "lesser crafting." Like putting a runed ruby with a sword or ethereal bindings or something. What is the +damage or lifesteal that they provide? Is anyone significantly better than the other?
  20. Is it possible to store items in G5? I have about 5 slots open in my inv. and the rest of the stuff I have is wands, spores, pods, baton, melee, and recipe items. Where can I put all this crap I don't need right now?
  21. I just started a new character. Everything is fine in this playthrough though.
  22. Ok, no harm done I suppose. Thanks for the help, glad I hadn't kept playing and just assuming it was an isolated incident in the one area. Maybe I'll be a lifecrafter now...although he has a slit in his "robe" that exposes his inner thigh...or is the lifecrafter a female?
  23. Nope..wasn't aware there were any cheats. Update though...went to the Isenspire? (Rawal's place) and killed the group of fyoras that spawn, but the end fyora (huge fyora) didn't drop a perfect scale although I believe it's supposed to? Well now I went into his study, and theres nothing in any of the boxes...maybe I'll just start back over since I'm not too far in. My other playthrough hadn't encountered this though.
  24. So I've encountered a problem. Downloaded the Windows version, playing it, great fun. Problem is I've killed the Presence, got the next quest. Then I go to the Promenade, and kill the shrouded guys. Nothing drops. Nothing is in the little piles. In a guardian game I was playing before this one (Shaper now) I found the student belt, perfect fyora scale...etc in the Promenade. Now NOTHING drops, NOTHING is in any containers. Has anyone else encountered this problem in their experiences with the game? Or am I just going crazy and that stuff doesn't actually exist in the Promenade and it was some dream...
  25. Charlie Wilson's War and Black Hawk Down, couldn't recommend them strongly enough.
