  1. I don't know, if you have the Home Version or the Professional Edition, either way the file you need to fix your compatibility problem can be downloaded from here: Exile fix for XP
  2. Quote: I guess someone should go give ef a nudge. Always so much else to do *sigh*, but you are right. How about you nudge me and I nudge you? And we both complete our sites?
  3. They attacked you? That sounds as if you killed some giant spiders, not the GIFTS. They are curious and talkative, not hostile. I can't remember their position, look it up in a walkthrough. Maybe you haven't met them yet.
  4. Did you talk to the spiders before you killed them? If not, go back to a save file that shows them still living. You need them for something later on.
  5. What type of graphics (creature, terrain, item, etc.) and how did you define it in its script?
  6. If what you have is the original CD, fyorna, you might contact spiderweb, explain the situation, and ask that they registrate you instead of your brother's friend, and send you a new key. They don't have to do this; they just might help you out, if they can verify what you tell them. If what you have is pirated software, well, bad luck for you.
  7. You can get into Olgai when you've done a few things that you seem not to have done so far. It would help if you posted who you talked to and what tasks you completed in Vahnatai lands.
  8. Both images are good. What you prefer depends on what you try to express through them. I'd say follow your own instinct. You made this phantastic void, didn't you.
  9. Too many colours and too many patterns, yes. Look at the first picture, where the void has a majesty that is no longer noticeable in the second pic. If you want to blend void and passageway into one flowing, otherworldly experience, choose colours and patterns that add to the flow and do not break it.
  10. Drakey used to house Motekye's boulders on his site. They were very good, more irregular and natural. Where are they, Drakey? I like this stary void. Yes, a spiraling nebula would be great. Why not make one from scratch?
  11. But think of the fun we have when going down - suffering dramatic losses, trying to rescue whatever we can, and Logalot unavailable as always, because he never empties his mailbox - what's UBB compared to that?
  12. Your download is corrupt. You should get a .zip file with the BoAeditor.exe, Editor Docs and Appendix, Readme, Licensetext and several other files.
  13. Well, you can do something almost like this with a few adaptations. And yes, I get a 404 too.
  14. Before BoA came out for Windows I played around with underwater design, trying to put together a small scene with a diver. I didn't know then what would work with the engine and what not, so what I came up with can not be used as such. It would have to be changed into BoA terrain to make it functionable. I don't mind doing that, if people are interested in underwater terrain. So that's my question: shall I work on it a bit more or just get rid of it? Here is what I did:
  15. So the question is: will they use or abuse what they are given? Maybe he could offer them something of lesser value and then wait and observe their actions.
  16. You never know what people might get out of old machines once they know how to do it. But sure, he may have been joking.
  17. Quote: I use a hacked MITS Altair 8800 for all my internet communications Wow. Didn't know that could be done. Hacked in what way?
  18. What qualities would one need to be 'the chosen ones'? What is the old man looking for or tries to find out about you? Choose a quest that will test those qualities.
  19. Or relate it to the main story line. Is there anything that's needed: an information that is hard to come by, keys that noone knows where to find, things like that.
  20. Don't worry, Thralni. The only one that was not yet deleted was the one I attached to my e-mail. That was the one I had put in my testscene to see what went wrong. But that's gone now, too.
  21. Oh, sorry, mail sent. I thought you didn't need it anymore, because you solved the riddle.
  22. *bump* Just to cheer you up, problem solved. I adjust the other two pics and send everything back to you with explanations. Just read your post. Congrats. So I'll delete what you sent me.
  23. Yes, there's more to it than just wrong endings. I can load your pics, but they are invisible. I put one of them in my testscen as replacement for a creature that moved and had a text bubble over it. So what I see now is a moving text bubble, but no creature. Give me some time. This is a graphics problem. I'll post when I've solved it.
  24. Sorry, I was busy for a while and didn't respond. Got the files and opened them in a picture viewer. If what I got is what you tried to put into your game, I can tell you why the game can't find them. The engine is looking for a 'G500.BMP', and you offer it a 'G500.BMP.bmp'. That won't work. Change the endings to simple .BMP and everything's fine.
  25. Send me the .bmp files. I'll put them in a testscen I have lying around and see if I can load them into both editor and game application. If not, I'll try to find out why.
