  1. That explains the odd spike in views for a very obscure video. I've been puzzling over that for some time today. Much appreciated.
  2. Correct me if I am wrong but don't some of the endings (loyalist at least) mention that the final creation of Easss locked behind the door awakens (or some such comment). I'm fairly certain there is the foreshadowing for all endings and I believe that I recall Easss being mentioned. It is entirely possible that I am confusing game information with my own meta-knowledge though.
  3. Episodes are trickling out for the other series I am running but I've run out of my G5 backlog. Just finished submitting a big bio assignment; I've been up to my eyeballs in bacteria cultures around the house so haven't done a lot of recording. Keen to continue, likely to be this weekend although I might squeeze a session in during the week if I can find some silence and the wife leaves the house.
  4. Slarty, I like your apparent fascination with stats.
  5. 1. Name one song that makes you feel really, really happy. 2. Name one song that helped you get through a difficult period of your life, or still does. Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden 3. Name one song that makes you feel calm and serene. Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden 4. Name one song that you associate strongly with a good memory. Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden 5. Name one song which resonates with a character trait you want to encourage in yourself. Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden 6. Name one song that you find really interesting on a compositional level. (Lyrics, chord structure, sound effects, timbre of instruments, etc.) Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden 7. Name one song that you didn't like at first, that you eventually came to really enjoy. by AppletreeeducationThen, as a bonus, *. Say something positive that happened in your life today. I finally completed my Biology subject and have been able to rid my house of the 45 petri dishes filled with disgusting bacteria that have been crowding my house for the past 2 weeks. My favourite was the one that looked like a lemontree. The yellow staph growths contrasted nicely with the green growth from my shoe scrapings.
  6. What an interesting idea regarding shaping skills. I do like the concept of health and attack and speed shaping, etc. I also think shaping should be more fluid and alive. I feel it should be less about: create creation A, keep them alive forever and they are stronger than next tier creation B. The exp level-ups seem overpowered and almost seems to go against the ethos of the shaper making creations and then throwing them heartlessly into battle. I like the concept of an arms race towards the big nasties.
  7. I'm interested that was picked up so very quickly. Congrats. I thought of that song because there is a line somewhere in that song (if I recall correctly) that says "a simpering, whimpering child again" which I thought was very fitting considering my previous encounters with unbound. Each playlist on my channel has some sort of (very loose) theme to the title names and I like to play around for my own amusement. Congrats on making the connection. As for the rest of the comments. I'm very pleased the episode has been so well received. It was a massive relief. Almost like back in the old Final Fantasy games where I could defeat say, Emerald Weapon for the first time or take out one of the Dark Aeon's in the other game. It is a massive relief. But how can I top this new achievement? Especially considering how I struggle so much with some normal enemies.

    Spiderweb future

Thought of using perks of some sort? A certain number of rebel only or shaper only or even class only perks might be a useful balancing mechanism. The other thing is that in a roleplay game often total balance is not required. Keep things in the same area but let people make what they want from that characters.
  9. I personally play for the fun gameplay and story element. Your comment is similar to "why read books 1 and 2 of the lord of the rings? We all know the juicy bits happen in book three so I only read the final chapter."
  10. This was a brilliant breakdown to help me more easily understand the options. I hope you will consider putting your analytical mind to some of the subsequent games in the series where relevant.
  11. I'm part way through an agent game of G1 and I agree that it is very eye opening after playing the later games. I actually find coming through with a lot more future story experience lets me appreciate some of the little things a lot more, even if they may not have necessarily have been written with a sequel in mind. Like watching your favourite movie a few years later through a new lens.
  12. I have no natural instinct to put my injured finger in my mouth. Although I can understand people who do. Many mammals have antibacterial effects in their saliva.
  13. I'm unaware of other examples from 2-5 but in G1 there are a few that mention relationships. Some have lost loved ones and mourn or ask for guidance (alignment questions) while others are openly hostile or deranged after a loss. Sure there must be other examples through the other games but my mind is drawing a blank right now.
  14. Sucia is quite close to the coast somewhere. I forget the exact mention but they say you reach a town on the coast and it is a short walk to the shaper council. I would expect that Sucia is therefore somewhere close to the west coast near the G5 lands. Although I may be slightly confused as it could be to the east. Sometimes things confuse me between all the different games. The Sholai are stated as having come from the far east (again if I recall correctly) which would make them from across the eastern ocean (and would indicate that Sucia is actually close to the east coast). The Ashen isles from G3 are generally stated to be far north. Possibly Far north east near the Drakons in G4. Also the G2 lands....could they be part of the disappearing second continent that disappeared from the lore between games. Who knows...? (probably Slarty if I had to hazard a guess)
  15. You know, I'd sort of forgotten about the unbound. I'll put some thought into unbound hunting in the near future. Might be fun to go back and get ripped apart again
  16. This may be what it was like for US citizens living during the 'McCarthy era' in the early cold war. You either go full retard and salute your flag 5 times a day while facing mecca I mean Washington or you admit that maybe a little bit of balance is important and get branded a traitor commie and shipped off. Sometimes there is no leeway to make the 'right' choice and sometimes you are simply left to make the 'best' choice from what remains.
  17. The US is hemorrhaging money at the current rate. I can't see any kind of funding increase being sustainable. The only real question is how long until things collapse completely in full greek style.
  18. Yes, the graphical fidelity is appalling. I wish I could go back and record them all again. I've learned so much in the past 6 months. The biggest cause of all the graphical issues is that my cpu throttles down to 800mhz because it has literally no cooling except ambient. The very fact that it didn't just shut itself off during the boot phase is a testament to the ambient cooling of corsair liquid devices. Once I actually managed to provide power to the thing and it started working and the cpu runs beautifully now and recording runs very cleanly. Long story short, expect bad video quality for another 20 episodes. EDIT: And I'll check out that dude in the 'park' place next recording session this weekend. I'm curious although I barely noticed it when I rewatched the recording just now.
  19. . I forget why this episode has that name but it certainly sounds catchy.
  20. I don't find the Drakons particularly like I imagine Dragons. I am quite comfortable seeing and imagining them as big, humanoid lizard things which is nothing like how I imagine dragons of cliche fame. Even the name doesn't make me think of Dragons although I obviously see the striking similarity. As an example, I hear pear and square to be very similar sounding but have absolutely zero difficulty in knowing one is a delicious soft fruit and one is a hard, angular 2D shape. Long story short, totally different in my eyes and emotively richer as a result.
  21. While I appreciate your absolute stance that your 'ok' is the absolute definition of what is ok by all standards and that somehow you have the right to therefore judge some unnamed random people in the thread I think you might want to have a quick rethink of your position when you calm down from what you have admitted are some upsetting circumstances in your house. In the meantime I am more than comfortable in calling that kind of reaction narrow minded and pompous. I also feel that your inherent 'moral superiority' is perhaps something that could be addressed on a more far-reaching scale but I have no desire to start a character assassination. Next chance I get, however, I will have another serving of whale because I am petty like that.
  22. I'm most certainly NOT an adventurous eater. Despite that I've eaten quite a few things that although generally quite normal in the cultures they are from but are interesting enough to people who've never tried them. I've had Kangaroo in a variety of ways. Most interesting was actually kangaroo spaghetti bolognase. Of course just a regular steak is the obvious favourite way to eat kangaroo. Other Australian animals include Emu which is a dark meat and quite 'beefy' from my recollection. Delicious but a bit rare. Crocodile is bland and a bit boring. A white meat that is halfway between very mild fish and chicken. I'm told that the chicken comes from farm grown crocs as the wild ones apparently don't have that taste. Texture of fish as well. Going overseas a bit, I've tried Whale meat in Japan. Not particularly delicious. Was a heavy meat, and quite oily. And I've done the usual variety of raw foods in Japan. Raw Beef with raw egg and fermented soy beans, etc. Not to mention the popular beef tongue which tastes almost like bacon when cut thinly.
  23. Ohh, well if you can just rephrase the question then that sort of makes the entire discussion a moot point. I mean, I can say "would you like me to give you a million dollars and be held to that with this legally binding contract here?" But then I can subtly change it (rephrase, if you will) so that it becomes "Would you like to give me a million dollars and be held to that with this legally binding document here?" Sure, the whole thing is totally different but if you've already come along and said yes and then I changed the wording, even slightly, because I didn't like the original result then I can hardly blame you for being a bit disappointed.
  24. I have fixed that upload link. Somehow I managed to link my last post to episode 69 instead of 66. Blame to change in daylight savings time in my timezone if you'd like. Either way, the link now takes you to the correct episode so some of you can take a step back in time and get a bonus episode too. I'm not sure I understand the reference? What's happening in a month?
